Garbage Grab: Week 14

Garbage Grab: Week 14

Dorian” The Trashman” Colbert, RosterWatch.com

If your league is like mine, play-offs start this week. You didn’t come all this way to go out in the first round so listen up! Brad Smith is still sitting on most waiver wires around the world even after he became a starter, and led the team in targets last week. Don’t let him slip through your fingers at this important juncture. Also, Donald Brown is still available in less than 25% of leagues and shouldn’t be. Now on to fresh pickin’s.

Ricky Williams RB Ravens: Williams racked up 76 yards and a td in 16 carries last week against the Browns in a renewed commitment to the run on behalf of the Ravens. This could be a continuing trend as the season begins to wear on Ray Rice’s legs. The Ravens will want to keep him fresh for a playoff run, and Williams could see much more work, especially against the Colts this week.

Devin Aromashodou WR Vikings: Leading the Vikings with 15 targets in Week 13, Aromashodou picked up 90 yds against the Broncos. As teams start to key in on stopping Percy Harvin, he could be in line to see his role on the offense grow even more. Owned in less than 1% of leagues, Aromashodou could end up being a diamond in the rough during the fantasy playoffs.

Brandon Saine RB Packers: You’ll need to check our injury report closer to game time, but it looks like RB James Starks may sit this week. If so, Saine could be in for a big day in his relief. Aaron Rodgers says the rookie has the best hands on the team, so make sure he isn’t on your waiver wire.

Kahlil Bell RB Bears: With Matt Forte out for at the least the next several weeks, Bell and Marion Barber will have a time share going in Chicago. Barber is the best bet for goal line carries, but Bell should be serviceable in Forte’s satellite role.

Kevin Walter WR Texans:  The Texans would be remissed to rush Andre Johnson back with a 9-3 record, so look for Walter to be top dog wideout this coming week. That being said he may not be the most valuable pass catcher to own here, which leads to our next entry:

Joel Dreessen TE Texans: Owen Daniels is owned in your league. You can almost be certain that Dreessen is not. The big tight end is coming off of a 112 yd, 1 td game against Oakland, and could see more looks(especially red-zone) this week if Andre Johnson sits.

Anthony Fasano TE Dolphins: The is for the Fred Davis owners out there. Fasano led the Dolphins in receiving last week, and seems to be a favorite of QB Matt Moore. You could do worse in a pinch.

Joe Webb QB Vikings: Webb is definitely a deep deep sleeper this week, but if Christian Ponder can’t go with a hip injury, he makes for an intriguing play. At 6’4″, 220lbs, Webb might do his best Cam Newton impression if given the start.

Updates: RB Chris Ivory of the Saints and RB Mossis Madu of Tampa Bay are sneaky plays this week. I like Ivory with Ingram out.
