Buy-Low Quarterback Options in Dynasty Leagues

With the NFL Draft, and subsequent Dynasty Rookie Drafts on the horizon, Dynasty owners are starting to itch for some action. For owners with QB-needy rosters, this represents a good time to try and bolster the position on the cheap. Here are some potential buy-low Dynasty QB options we recommend owners investigate:

Nick Foles, Rams – He’s in a new system and his perceived threats as receivers took a downgrade, but with a developing offensive line and running game with Tre Mason, Foles could have low-end fantasy QB1 numbers as early as 2015.

Peyton Manning, Broncos – He’s an old man which is dynasty kryptonite to most youth-centric dynasty owners, and most are surely looking to dump him as this is his very likely to be his last season. We like trading for Manning on the low in leagues where we have “win-now” rosters.

Blake Bortles, Jaguars – Our No. 1 QB of the 2014 NFL draft now has a year of experience under his belt, chemistry with a young and talented receiving corps, and an all-new red-zone threat in TE Julius Thomas.

Derek Carr, Raiders – Carr is firmly entrenched in what most dynasty owners believe is a crappy offense, but it is an offense that the Raiders front office will be investing in over the short-term to get Carr some help.

Sam Bradford, Eagles – Everyone hates Bradford and his busted knees except for Chip Kelly, and last we checked, Chip Kelly is a pretty smart guy. We’re taking the pulse of Bradford owners in all leagues to see if he can be had on the super-cheap such as a third-round rookie draft selection. An alternative option, if your just looking to buy some penny stock in the Eagles offense and add depth to your fantasy roster- is Mark Sanchez, because you never know when Bradford will go down next.

Ryan Mallett, Texans – His owner in your league may have optimistic hopes, but the fact is that he will be pushed for his job by a very capable veteran in Brian Hoyer and he has only shown capability to be an NFL starting QB for one and a half regular season games. If his owner is willing to part ways at a cheap enough cost, we like being the owners who take the risk in acquiring a QB with tools in a O’Brien system who will be throwing balls to Deandre Hopkins. If you’re really desperate, and willing to dive deep into the dumpster- Brian Hoyer could also be worth a sniff himself.
