Cyrus Gray- Kansas City Chiefs- Scouting and Fantasy Report

Cyrus Gray to the Chiefs

As for a fantasy fit, I don’t like it. For Dynasty owners, at this very early juncture I would say that the upside that would seem most likely in this scenario is that of a 2 or 3 -year long play like [ironically] fellow former Texas A&M Aggie Mike Goodson. We still don’t know how Goodson will fit into the Raiders offense, but the trade certainly seems more promising than the situation he was in under Deangelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. I like the pick for the Chiefs as an organization, Gray will represent a more than suitable back up, and great insurance to Jamaal Charles, but barring injury, a healthy Peyton Hillis and Jamaal Charles represent a pretty sustainable duo on their own. This is without mention of Dexter McCluster who is most definitely still involved the the running game albeit in a limited capacity. I asked Romeo Crennel at the Combine how Jamaal Charles’ rehab was coming, and he told me he expected Charles to be ready to go for Week one of the season.
