Managing daily leagues isn’t always easy. That’s why we’ve trimmed the fat for you. These picks are inexpensive across nearly every daily platform and bound to succeed.

Phillip Rivers QB, San Diego Chargers: Rivers is the least expensive starting quarterback going in daily leagues which is befuddling as the only QBs he finished behind in fantasy points this year that are still playing are Peyton Manning and Cam Newton. In a matchup with Denver that is sure to be high-flying, Rivers is a great value.

Danny Woodhead RB, San Diego Chargers: Ryan Mathews is preparing to play this week, but his shaky ankle could buckle at any moment. The Chargers will be sure to get Woodhead plenty of action to spell him. Woodhead projects to be heavily involved in the passing game as well. He trailed only Pierre Thomas in receptions for a running back this season.

LaGarrette Blount RB, New England Patriots: Blount has been somewhat of a bell-cow for the Pat’s over the last several weeks, getting about half the carries on a team that prides itself on not being predictable in the running game. He won’t get many if any receptions, but Blount has a pretty good shot to tote the rock on the goal line and we saw last week there is upside to be had even given his slight value decrease in PPR.

Percy Harvin WR, Seattle Seahawks: Harvin isn’t a lock to play on Saturday, and even if he does, he should see limited action. That being said, Harvin never needed more than a handful of carries or targets to do considerable fantasy damage. At such a low price in daily leagues, he offers tremendous value.

Keenan Allen WR, San Diego Chargers: Allen is currently cheaper than Danny Amendola, Michael Crabtree, and Julian Edelman in daily leagues, and he’s the number one receiver on a pass happy team. Chances are he outscores every one of those guys this week.

LaVon Brazill WR, Indianapolis Colts: If there’s one thing we know about the Patriots, it’s that they focus on stopping your best weapon, which for the Colts happens to be T.Y. Hilton. Brazill is lining up as the number 2 in Indy, leaving him to pick up the slack.

Brandon LaFell WR, Carolina Panthers: LaFell has been the best receiver in Carolina all season, which isn’t saying much (and a horrible indictment on the state of the Panthers WR corps) but he should see even more action this week with Steve Smith questionable due to a knee injury. San Francisco is no slouch when it comes to their pass defense, but the fact that the game is in Carolina should help matters considerably.

Ladarius Green TE, San Diego Chargers: Green is a true boom-or-bust player versus the Broncos, but he’s a legitimate end-zone threat, as we saw last week. If you’re feeling lucky, it’s not an entirely bad idea to load up at another position and hope Green shows up for you.

Coby Fleener TE, Indianapolis Colts: Fleener might actually be the beneficiary of  blanket coverage on T.Y. Hilton by the Patriots. He’s been wildly inconsistent this season, but the matchup is in his favor.

New England Patriots Defense: The inclement weather in the Northeast should give the Patriots a leg up on a team that plays most of their games in a dome. Add that to a couple weeks for the Belichick wizard to prepare, and you have a perfect storm for the New England defense.
