The Garbage Grab:

The refs are back, and with them, respectable game play. At least that’s what one would hope. Only time will tell, but while you’re waiting, take some time to mull over these waiver warriors for Week 4.

Jeremy Kerley WR, Jets: WR Stephen Hill looks doubtful for this week’s game against the 49ers, leaving the emerging Kerley to start. Already a dangerous weapon with less than a handful of targets, Kerley could make good this weekend, even with the tough matchup.

Jon Baldwin WR, Chiefs: 22, 39, 61…These are the snap percentages for Baldwin over the course of the season. Notice a trend? The Chiefs can’t run Jamaal Charles into ground, and Dwayne Bowe will see more double coverage. I like Baldwin’s chances.

Christian Ponder QB, Vikings: Owned in only 25 percent of Yahoo leagues, Ponder is a steal this week and perhaps beyond. A dual threat, the second year rising star has a juicy matchup against the Lions in what is sure to be a shootout. Even if it isn’t, he’ll make it up on the ground. Start him with confidence in place of Roethlisberger or Luck.

Joel Dreessen TE, Broncos: JacobTamme is the popular one, but Dreessen can be just as serviceable on the right day, and that looks like it could be this week. Peyton Manning is a top six play in our rankings this week against the Raiders, and Dreessen could be a legitimate part of that action.

Kendall Wright, WR Titans: It looks more and more like Kenny Britt won’t play this week. In that case, Wright is a decent prospect to get get ten or so targets.

Leonard Hankerson, WR Redskins: Pierre Garcon is still ailing, so Hankerson should continue to start as RGIII’s first option in the passing game.

Joique Bell, RB Lions: Mikel Leshoure is the new bell cow in Detroit, but he’s a little dinged up with a groin injury. The coach proclaimed game closer for the Lions, Bell could be in line for a lot of work should Detroit go up early.

Bilal Powell RB, Jets: Powell is no phenom, but he’s better than Shonn Greene, and it’s becoming more and more obvious to everyone. It may not be this week, but Powell will be the starter in New York sooner or later.

Ramses Barden WR, Giants: In the event that Hakeem Nicks misses the conference clash with the Eagles this week, Barden is in line for another start. I played him against the Panthers and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Shaun Draughn RB, Chiefs: Peyton Hillis has been booted, literally, so it appears that Draughn will back up Jamaal Charles against the Chargers. I see at least a couple of goal line chances on the horizon.

Armon Binns WR, Bengals: Andrew Hawkins is the new hotness in Cincinnati, but I like Binns just as much against the Jaguars this week.

Brandon Stokely WR, Broncos: Manning’s safety blanket is going to get looks, and he knows what to do with them.

Matt Cassel QB, Chiefs: The matchup is tough, but Cassel may have to toss the ball around quite a bit to keep up with the Chargers.

Lance Kendricks TE, Rams: Second only to Danny Amendola in targets last week (7), Kendricks has all the talent in the world. Hopefully he can do something with it against the Seahawks.
