Greg Little

WHO IS…..
Greg Little?

WHO is he?
-Cleveland Browns Rookie Wide Receiver, 2011 2nd Round Pick from UNC.
-6’3” 220-pound, athletic WR with excellent field vision, and crazy skills finding seams between the hashes.
– Ran his 40-yd dash in the 4.5’s but plays faster than that, and sticks to routes.
– Athletic, imposing and sure-handed target as a hot-read in the west-coast offense.

WHAT you should know….
-Colt McCoy loves this sort of receiver.
– Anyone who misses a year of College Football due to a “Jewelery Debacle” is going to be on our radar here at Roster Watch. We are Bullish on Bling.
– Despite getting 93 parking tickets during college, he actually shows quite a bit of discipline running routes. He has the football IQ to use his size in space to consistently exploit coverage.
– Brian Robiskie and Mohammed Massaqoui (previous 2nd  round WR picks) have shown flashes of above-average play-making ability, but have failed to deliver on any sort of consistent basis. Josh Cribbs is an electric talent on Special Teams and an over-the-top burner on offense, but is not a true number one option at receiver. (See Devin Hester) The addition of Little should make an immediate impact on the passing game in Cleveland, and I believe he will be quickly established as the No. 1 WR in an offensive scheme that is capable of producing mega-fantasy numbers when it clicks.

WHEN you should draft him….
– He represents major value in the 9th round or beyond as a 3rd or 4th WR with who may experience growing pains, but has upside for to turn into a low end WR1 in standard 12-team leagues over the course of the season.

HOW he compares…
– Hakeem Nicks meets Mike Sims-Walker with just a dash of John Taylor.
