Don’t ever let anyone tell you that Mississippi State CB Johnthan Banks is short on confidence. We here at RosterWatch love Banks’ ability to be tough in run support, knife in on blitzes, and most importantly—create game-changing plays with his ball-hawking style.

Banks thinks he’s pretty good, too.

Today that the NFL Combine, he told the small media group assembled at his podium that he was already prepared to face some of the best WRs the NFL has to offer, having faced players such as Julio Jones and Rueben Randle in college. He also mentioned another player:

“I think I could cover Megatron right now.”

That would be Calvin Johnson, the best WR in the NFL and one of the best of all time.

As a high school quarterback, Banks also thinks he could be of great benefit to an NFL team in 2013 as a signal-caller as offenses are switching to read-option attacks, saying that he would be a Mike Vick or Cam Newton-type producer at the position.

Obviously, he believes he is the best corner in the draft.
