Kelvin Benjamin Carted off the Practice Field Wednesday

And it didn’t look good. We’re awaiting final word about the severity of the injury before making a new round of updates to the RosterWatch Cheat Sheet, but we’re not holding out much hope. This was an injury of the dreaded non-contact variety and Benjamin was in clear pain as Panthers trainers checked him out before carting him off.

Until the Cheat Sheets are updated to the next versions (likely later on Wednesday) we’re instructing you take a completely hands-off approach to Benjamin if you are drafting in the interim. This has all the makings of an ACL tear, although we are hoping for the best.

Our immediate thoughts are that Devin Funchess gets a bump in value, but TE Greg Olsen gets a BIG bump if Benjamin is expected to miss significant time. We don’t trust Cam Newton‘s accuracy to get the ball to the smaller WRs that Carolina currently has on its roster and have always believed Cam needs bigger targets to aim at. As for Newton, this clearly hurts his value and his slotting on the new Cheat Sheet updates will reflect this.

NFL.com and ESPN both confirmed that it is an ACL tear 🙁 Hope he recovers well and dominates fantasy next season. Always hate seeing guys go down.

    1. It seemed like the case. Horrible news for one of our favorites around here. Here’s to a speedy recovery.

  2. I have at QB, I’m a little worried about him now that KB is out for the season. The guy in my league that had KB is hurting at WR, and has R Wilson. My WR are AJ Green, Cooks, Andre Johnson, Agholor, John Brown, Allen Robinson. Would you offer Cam and one of my recievers for Wilson?

    1. I meant I have Cam at QB…..I do have Palmer on the bench also.
