  1. I’ve got a draft in 1.5 hours. Two round rookie draft. I’ve got the 1st, 8th and 9th picks. I’m going Evans #1. 2-5 will be Watkins, cooks,Hyde,&Sankey. Not sure about 6&7. I’m hoping Benjamin falls to me at 8, then I planned on freeman at 9. Are you guys still high on Freeman? If Benjamin is gone, who should I target at 8&9? Ebron,West,Mathews? I also have Rashaad Jennings, so maybe I should get Andre Williams at #9? Thanks in advance!

    1. Well, #7 went with Benjamin OF COURSE. #6 went with Mason. I went with Freeman and West. Let me know how I did.

      1. Oh shoot- just saw this- depends on who else was left when you took those guys- either way those are solid additions to your RB corps. See if you can grab some of the other guys mentioned above in either RD2 of Free Agency. All of them are studs and you will thank us in the future

        1. ….I mean mentioned “below” 🙂

  2. jschles14-

We love Evans at #1. If you can get Benjamin it would be a completer coup. You would be set for years to come. Yes- you need to grab Andre Williams. Ebron is fine but we might rather have Amaro or Richard Rodgers in RD2- if you think they’ll slip.

With that other RD1 pick we’d be looking- Hyde, Matthews, Beckham, Hill- if you don’t land those guys in RD2 we like Tre Mason, Devonta, Cody Latimer, Martavis Bryant, and Davante Adams.

    Good luck!

    1. oh and also John Brown!

  3. I am in a 12 Team PPR League standard lineup with a flex and am drafting in the 5th slot. Hypothetically speaking if the draft went Charles, Mccoy, Forte, Johnson, would you guys lean towards Peterson or Lacy as # 5 ? I believe I will be able to get a Tier 1 WR on my way back which is why I didnt suggest Thomas at that slot.

    1. Superheat – download the cheat sheet but we say Peterson.

  4. I did download it but since it was a non ppr list I didnt know if Lacy would move up. Also will you guys be coming out with a PPR Cheat Sheet

    1. SuperHeat – The sheet is designed for PPR and non-PPR in almost every case outside of guys like Pierre Thomas and Julian Edelman. We’ve found that a PPR cheat sheet literally makes no difference in the quality of starting roster so we’ve kept it at just the one sheet for use in all non-2QB and superflex leagues. We still recommend Peterson.

  5. Ok Thanks, I have a draft Friday and Sunday this week will there be an update before that or will this be the sheet to use for that. Thanks in advance

    1. Superheat-

There is a cheat sheet update coming today or tomorrow- and possibly another before the weekend. Good luck.

  6. Any suggestions??

I have the 3rd pick in a 10team PPR. I get a stud RB and WR with My first two picks. Probably J.Charles and then J.Jones or B.Marshall. With pick 3 I have a choice of Montee Ball or Julius Thomas…… Who do you pick??

  7. I lean towards Ball there, unless it turns out Wes Welker is going to miss a chunk of time. As it stands, he’s still in the mix for week 1. Ball has potential 1st round value as the bell cow for Denver. The tight end position will be pretty deep in a 10 team league.
    -Trashman

  8. Keeping bell in the 5th and Stacy in the 11th of a 12 team ppr. Is Fred Jackson worth keeping in 8th? I actually have 2 8ths from trades. Also keeping antonio brown in 7th, L green in 10th, stills in 12th, and maclin in 13th. Will be picking around 5th. I should have forte there or Calvin. Plus 2 2nd rounders(13 and 19). Thoughts on overall approach as well. Will be utilizing cheat sheet of course.

  9. Josh-

All of those keepers are good prospects. Keeping FJax in the 8th would be liking keeping Green in the 10th or Stills in the 12th- fairly close to their actual draft value. Not the biggest win, but the certainty of knowing you get those guys you like may very well be worth it. Especially in a keeper league where potentially a lot of guys are already off the board.

If that is your strategy- we would actually probably keep Jackson there. He had 47 receptions last year and 10 TDs and over 1000 total yards. There are no guarantees you get anything like that in RD8 of your draft. We’d also put Lacy and Graham in the mix in RD1. Good luck.

  10. Thanks Byron!
Pick is actually last of 8th upon further review. Graham and lacy are both being kept but I feel that after first pick gronk should be available. Love the site and show!

  11. Hey guys here’s my team from tonight’s draft using the latest cheatsheet! http://imgur.com/rRpEuPK (10 Team, ESPN Standard, 2nd Pick) Thoughts on my team? I don’t think it’s the most exciting squad, but it’s definitely SOLID. Not sure how I feel about the DT/Montee Ball combination but I couldn’t break a rule in the early 3rd! Went a little RB crazy but couldn’t pass on Gerhart and Ellington in rounds 6-7! Thanks for creating such a great tool! Can’t wait to use it again for my 12 Team draft this weekend…

    1. ebud-

This team is amazing. You have 3 potential elite #1s at RB + Toby and Andre! Your WRs are incredible and have massive upside- even your bench guys. And, you went elite at TE with Jordan Cameron. This is going to be a long season for your opponents. Matt Ryan is going to be a very healthy fantasy qb option this season

  12. Hi guys,

Drafting over the next couple days at the 10/11 spot in a 10 team, non-PPR, 6-pt passing TD league. Only wrinkle is TE gets 1 point per 7.5 yards. Last year Jimmy Graham was the second highest scoring WR/TE. Its 2 RB/WR + flex and we can flex a TE. I won’t get a shot at Graham at the 10 hole, but any thoughts on how much you might bump the TEs on your rankings in this league?
    THX

  13. lutherball-

We are already pretty high on the TEs on the cheat sheet. They are probably fine where they are. We’d obviously keep a very close eye on Graham, Gronk, Julius, Cameron, Heath Miller, Charles Clay, Dennis Pitta. The sleepers for you very easily could be Travis Kelce, or the rookies Richard Rodgers and Jace Amaro late.

  14. So I have the 7th spot who should I take

  15. grahamhill87-

Eddie Lacy, Peyton Manning, or Jimmy Graham

  16. Hey boys! I used your cheat sheet vol.4 for my first league that was drafted on Tues. it’s a 12team standard and I lucked out with No.2. It went as follows:

    1. Charles (McCoy went no.1)
    2. Gio (over Stacy/J.Thomas)
    3. Jordy (over Alshon/Ryan Matthews…we’re in SD)
    4. Cordarelle (over Percy Harvin)
    5. Andre Johnson (over Edelman…not sure I did the right thing here)
    6. Jordan Cameron (over Reggie Wayne)
    7. Justin Hunter (a reach, I know..over Kendall Wright)
    8. Mike Evans (over Olsen/Ladarius Green)
    9. Marques Colston (over Decker/ Shorts)
    10. Russel Wilson (there were NO good qbs on the board! Over Jeremy Hill/Denver D)
    11. Terrence West (over Ingram/ Dalton)
    12. Blount* (over Tannehill/Boykin)
    13. Travis Kelce (over Malcolm Floyd)
    14. Bills D (over Chicago D)
    15. Mason Crosby (over Tavon Austin, and we had to draft D/K)
*We agreed upon shots of Creme Brûlée vodka for every owner that declared a player that had previously been taken. LaGarette Blount was my gut reaction after my fourth offense.

    So, how’d I do??

    1. jterrance-

Haha- funny story. Your team turned out amazing.- studs up and down the board with a nice bench, Your opponents will be taking lots of shots this year. Good luck.

  17. Hey Guys,
I used your cheat sheet pretty heavily for a 10 team .5 pt ppr w/ 4pts per td pass 2 qb / 2 flex league. I think I am weak on RB, I picked 9, and the good ones were gone. What do you think of my team?
    qb-Jay Cutler
    qb-Colin Kaepernick
    rb-Arian Foster
    rb-Alfred Morris
    wr- Calvin Johnson
    wr- Randall Cobb
    te- Jimmy Graham
    flex-Rashad Jennings
    flex-Reggie Wayne
    d/st-Patriots
    k-Blair Walsh

    Bench
    Steven Ridley
    Kendall Wright
    Terrance Williams
    Teddy Bridgewater
    DeAndre Hopkins
    Andre Williams.

This was the strangest draft I have ever been in. Andrew Luck went #3 over all!!

    1. burton8518-

Your roster turned out great. You got #1 RBs in Foster and Jennings- and a solid #2 with #1 upside in Morris- it’s not an area of concern AT ALL. You have the best TE and best WR in all of fantasy, and an amazing bench. In a league where QBs flew off the board, you saved yourself late with nice value on Cutler and Kaepernick- guys who both have upside. Good luck

  18. 10 team ppr with 5th pick. I know this league. Start 2 rb 3 wr 1 te 2 flex. I can conceivably start 5 wr, though I may go 4 wr 2 te. I don’t like rb this year. Question is my first few picks….. Lacy, Julio, A Brown OR Calvin, Julio, Martin? These are totally possible with this leagues draft tendencies.

  19. rul8agn-

Both options are solid. We think Lacy could be the #1 overall player in fantasy this year. We’d go with the first option. Good luck.

  20. Hey guys,

I tried a mock relying heavily on v2.4 of your cheat sheet. It was a 10 team Yahoo draft where I had the 10th pick. Any thoughts?

    1. Marshawn Lynch (Sea – RB)
    2. Peyton Manning (Den – QB)
    3. Rashad Jennings (NYG – RB)
    4. Julius Thomas (Den – TE)
    5. DeSean Jackson (Was – WR)
    6. Kelvin Benjamin (Car – WR)
    7. Emmanuel Sanders (Den – WR)
    8. Shane Vereen (NE – RB)
    9. Trent Richardson (Ind – RB)
    10. Fred Jackson (Buf – RB)
    11. Justin Hunter (Ten – WR)
    12. Mike Evans (TB – WR)
    13. Carson Palmer (Ari – QB)
    14. Cincinnati (Cin – DEF)
    15. Nick Folk (NYJ – K)

    1. @Toolboxx88, looks like a lot of depth @ RB, but I am not fond of your WRs. It doesn’t look like you have a clear-cut WR1. It looks like that this the trade-off of selecting Peyton asn your R2 choice. Given RGIII’s woes this preseason, I don’t believe Jackson will put up anything close to what he did last year. Benjamin is a physical freak, but he is a rookie on a bad offenisve team. Sanders and Hunter have value, but maybe more on the low-end WR2. I wonder what your squad would have been if you picked up Dez or Demaryius instead of Peyton?

      1. @jdlaw112521 Thanks for your response! I think your critique is fair and I was thinking along the same lines. Thankfully this was just a mock.

    2. Toolbox88-

Phenomenal team full of studs. It can be argued you are a tiny bit thin at WR. Although, WE LOVE the guys you picked up as an explosive group with huge upside all the way down to Hunter and Evans. Plus, you could end up with some really nice trade bait from all the depth on this team- that may be a maneuver for upgrading at WR later in the season. Good luck.

      1. Thanks for the input!

  21. Thanks for your hard work guys. The cheat sheet is an awesome concept. As I look it over, can you shed a little light on why you are so hight on Jennings/NYG RB and Patterson/MIN WR? Jennings has been a bit sporadic over the years. I would think Murray, Foster, L. Bell or even Stacy would be above him. As for Patterson, while he is a gifted player, most of his work came on gimmicky type plays. How do you think Norv Turner’s presence will impact Patterson’s usage?

    1. jdlaw112521-

Jennings was a TOP SHELF option during his 7 starts last yr, with over a 16 pt median in standard leagues. He also passed the eyeball test big time. We scout the Raiders very closely. As for New York, they have a history of productive fantasy RBs and that offense will need to lean on the run more than ever this season. Jennings is a workhorse stud- who also caught almost 5 balls per game last yr. He’s looked phenomenal in preseason. He has upside to be a Top 5-10 fantasy RB and is a steal in the mid rounds of drafts. We are comfortable with him as our RB1, however you must draft his rookie backup Andre Williams as handcuff if RD9 or later.

Our history with Patterson goes way back, he was one of the most highly rated prospects we’d ever graded coming out of Tennessee. We told RosterWatch Nation two years ago he would enter the NFL with “run after the catch skills only matched by Percy Harvin and Dez Bryant”. What does everybody think now? That he’s a mix of Harvin and Bryant!

We interviewed Norv Turner at the NFL Combine in February and we were the first that he confirmed to, how much tape he’d already watched on CP in his first few weeks and that he already had created a special package of at least 10 plays to get CP involved. We actually ran into CP that weekend at an upscale bar in downtown Indy, and he confirmed this to us. Greg Jennings has already said this offseason, that he will “be telling his grandkids about CP”. Factor in his development as a traditional WR, and the presence of AP- and Matt Cassel or not, CP is going to be a huge stud. Especially, in leagues that score for special teams production. Good luck.

  22. Just did a 10-team mock on ESPN using the cheat sheet. it was challenging to keep up with at times b/c a lot of the teams were on auto -pick. However, in the 10th spot, I drafted the following…

    10th Calvin Johnson/DET
    11th Demaryius Thomas/DEN
    30th Montee Ball
    31st Gronk/NE
    50th CJ Spiller/BUF
    51st Andrew Luck/IND
    70th Benjamin/CAR
    71st F. Jax/BUF…2RBBC
    90th Justin Hunter
    91st Cutler/CHI
    110th Brandin Cooks/NO
111th Shonn Greene/TEN…there were higher rated players available, but hard to pass on a starter this far down

    130th Carlos Hyde/SF
    131st STL
    150th Matt Bryant/ATL
    151st Heath Miller/PIT

    Thoughts?

    1. @jdlaw112521 I like where you ended up even though your use of the cheat sheet didn’t end up with you following the standard strategy of going straight for RBs. Seems legit. I know this is not exactly brilliant analysis, but I think you did well.

    2. jdlaw112521-

Great draft, over ally you have a team full of surefire studs. That’s all you can ask for in the draft. Really like your move with Shonn Green- cuz you are STACKED with unbelievable WR. RB is at least anchored by Ball, who is in line for a huge year and tons of volume. Could argue you have a bunch of RB3s and 4s behind him- all still very good ones who we like. Will just need to make some matchup plays there. Luckily, you have some much depth you will have plenty of ammo for an RB trade midseason if it becomes necessary. Good luck- and look for the final edition of the Cheat Sheet tomorrow- RB’s are getting a tiny bump.

  23. Guys,

Thanks for all your info. Im halfway through a draft using your cheat sheet and i think my roster is shaping up.

    Couple questions:
Why do you have Cam Newton rated so high? Esp considering how low he’s rated everywhere else.
Conversely, I think R Wilson is poised for a top 6 QB finish. More experience, confidence, and better weapons. Plus he’s been on fire in the preseason. What do you think? I’m inclined to pick RW over CN…

Also do you still consider Steven Ridley so highly? He’s next up on my cheat sheet after Cam in Round 9 and Im reading he may get cut? Do you want to adjust his position?
Conversely (again) what do think about Jeremy Hill after his strong preseason, esp last nights game? I think he’ll be getting way more touches alongside Gio B than people expect.
    Thanks!!

    1. lutherball-

If that’s your strategy wait on QB- we like RW quite a bit. Cam just always finds a way to finish close to Top 5 as a fantasy QB + love him getting Kelvin.

Ridley has value by default, he’s not getting cut. We are considering moving him down a bit more in the final version of the cheat sheet.

We are huge Jeremy Hill guys- we scouted him live at LSU Pro Day- have been beating the drum since March for him. It’s why he’s the guy we have ranked highest out of West, Hyde, Andre Williams, Hill. He will probably get another small bump up, on final version of cheat sheet. Gio may come down a tiny bit.

  24. My final draft was tonight. 10 team PPR pick 5 and we start 2 rb, 3 wr, and 2 flex. AP fell to me !!!!!! Your cheat sheet is BEAST!!!! And as a result so is my team!!

    A Peterson
    B Marshall
    D Martin
    C Patterson
    A Johnson
    M Stafford
    R Rice
    K Benjamin
    B Cooks
    G Tate
    H Miller
    C Hyde
    D Sproles
    T Kelce
    S Greene
    M Crosby
    Arizona

    1. rul8agn-

Congratulations, you are starting the season with an amazing squad. Love that you went for Heath Miller there! Good luck!

  25. Check out my team I drafted last night with the 2.5 cheatsheet… one of the weirdest drafts I’ve been a part of …(Yahoo Snake 12 Team Standard (12th Pick)
    https://i.imgur.com/h0B2oKH.jpg

Could I also get some opinions on two trade offers I’m receiving already? Some dude is willing to trade me J. Charles/Ertz for my delicious Gronk/J. Thomas combo?
Also he’s willing to trad me his R. Jennings for my P. Garcon which I’m very inclined to accept but don’t know if it’s necessary.

    1. ebud-

This team is phenomenal. We would hold Gronk / Thomas- your RBs are studly. We would RUN to the computer and accept the trade for Rashad Jennings!!!!!! Your WR are amazing, losing Garcon doesn’t hurt you at all. Already having Andre Williams, you will have a lock on the Giants run game with Jennings- there is a TON of upside there. Jennigns could be a Top 5-10 fantasy RB this year.

We love that you saved your QB position with Big Ben. Although, that is the one position we would look to possibly consolidate some of your depth at some point in the season and try to add an elite option. Good luck.

  26. ebud, I’d do the Jennings for Garcon trade. Def upgrade over T Rich at rb 2 and you could play the matchup when Rice comes back.

  27. Hey guys, I’m in a 10 team standard league with standard scoring and I had my draft last night. I used your cheat sheet (which is awesome btw, thanks for the help) and just wanted to know what you thought of my team. I ended up getting the 8th pick.

    8th – Calvin Johnson (WR1)
    13th – Montee Ball (RB1)
    28th – Brandon Marshall (WR2)
    33rd – Rob Gronkowski (TE1)
    48th – Ryan Mathews (RB2)
    53rd – Torrey Smith (WR3)
    68th – Bishop Sankey (RB3)
    73rd – Emmanuel Sanders (WR4)
    88th – Maurice Jones-Drew (RB4)
    93rd – Matt Ryan (QB1)
    108 – Mike Wallace (WR5)
    113th – Kelvin Benjamin (WR6)
    128th – Carson Palmer (QB2)
    133rd – Cardinals D/ST
    148th – Matt Prater (K1)
    153rd – Richard Rogers (TE2)

I was also wondering what you guys thought about Richard Rogers. I know he’s not ranked very high, but he’s looked good in the preseason and he’s been running with the ones. I think he has high upside, but should I go with a more proven guy to back up Gronk? I wouldn’t be so worried about it if Gronk didn’t have such high injury risk. I also wanted to know if you guys would recommend picking up another kicker and hanging on to Prater until his suspension is up (maybe dropping Rodgers), or if I should just drop Prater for another kicker and maybe see if I can pick him up before week 6.

    Thanks guys!

    1. mfiechtner- your team looks great! We especially love the Benjamin pick up that late in the draft. He’s going to pay dividends. I wouldn’t bother holding onto Prater. Rodgers is probably going to start out the season as Green Bay’s first option at tight end with Brandon Bostick expected to miss the first two weeks. If he doesn’t do well, you can always pick up Prater in a few weeks.
      -Trashman

  28. Should I drop tavon Austin and pick marvin Jones

    1. grahamhill87,

If Jones was healthy we would say yes. In this case no. See what Tavon does for the first 3-4 wks of season, then start considering Marvin before he returns est Wk5. Good luck

  29. Heres my team its a 3 wr 2 rb 2 te and a flex I had 9th pick in a 10 team league just wondering what you think of it

    Calvin johnson
    Demarius thomas
    Brandin cooks
    Matt stafford
    Reggie bush
    Trent Richardson
    Heath miller
    Kelvin benjiman

    Kicker- nate freese
    Defense- texans

    BENCH
    Alex smith
    Rashad jennings
    Sammy watkins
    Mike evans
    Tavon austin

    1. grahamhill87-

We wer a little concerned about your RBs until we saw Jennings on your bench! He is your #1 RB! You need to try to get his backup Andre Williams if at all possible to lock that up. Love that you sniped Heath Miller late- he’s a steal. You have a great team to start the season. Good luck.

  30. Got another team I need an opinion on. .5 pt ppr 14 team (weird scoring system in general (you need 2x as much to get a point as compared to standard, with 4 pt td passes for qbs) AND NO FLEX

    QB RUSSELL WILSON
    WR RODDY WHITE
    WR CORDARRELLE PATTERSON
    WR MICHAEL FLOYD
    RB LESEAN MCCOY
    RB ALFRED MORRIS
    TE JASON WITTEN

    K BLAIR WALSH

D INDIANAPOLIS (I plan on streaming what I can)
    DB QUINTIN DEMPS
    DL (STILL NEED)
    LB DEMECO RYANS

    BENCH
    RB CARLOS HYDE
    WR DEANDRE HOPKINS
    RB LEGARRETTE BLOUNT
    QB ANDY DALTON
    WR KENNY STILLS
    WR DOUG BALDWIN
    TE GARRETT GRAHAM

Yahoo hated my draft and projects me 12 of 14. My laptop crapped out, and I had to do it on my phone, so it was much harder!!!

    Thanks!

    1. Burton,
I wouldn’t give too much credence to Yahoo. They hated my team last year before I went on to win the championship, only losing two games in the process. The only position I’m a little concerned about is RB. It’s yet to be seen how much of a role Hyde will have as long as Gore is healthy. Stay with us throughout the season. We’ll monitor all the best waiver wire acquisitions you can make.

  31. Who should I drop for Andre williams hes avaliable but I dunno who to drop

Thanks for all your help you guys are awesome

    1. grahamhill87-

We would drop Alex Smith. QB is way too deep to roster two if you already have someone like Stafford. Good luck.

  32. Im in a standard scoring 10 team 1 qb 2 rb 3 wr te and one flex here is my team wondering what I should do

    Rg3
    Peterson
    Ellington
    Marshall
    Roddy white
    Michael floyd
    Gronk
    Flex ridley
    Novak
    Rams d

    Bench
    Wilson
    Sankie
    Britt
    Ladarius greene
    Shoan greene

Should I drop britt for hawkins in clevland

    1. dcrump1987-

No, when reviewing your roster our only area of concern was WR. They are good upside guys that will likely be just fine- but not great for a 10 team league. You need to keep Britt to see if you can hit a home run with him, he’s boom or bust but if he boom’s it will be a coup for your roster. We think the chances are greater than 50% that he does. Good luck

  33. Hey I have a couple questions for start em sit em this week who do I go with between russel wilson and rg3 standard scoring and also I have adrian peterson Ellington greene sankie and ivory I need 3 obviously Peterson is in but having a problems deciding between the rest

    1. dcrump1987-

We like the matchup for RG3 this week for a possible rebound, heck it could even be a big game for him- BUT we go Wilson here in a great matchup

      Ivory and Greene

  34. I also forgot I have ridley too

  35. Hey I’m in a standard scoring non ppr just have a flex question ridley, ivory, royal or edelman? Also gerhart is on the waiver wire should I pick him up

    1. dcrump1987-

Try to post your questions in more recent articles on our front page, so they don’t get overlooked. Saw this one, though. This is either Ivory or Edelman for us. We’d roll with Edelman- the Jets matchup vs Denver could just get out of hand. Good luck.
