Rosterwatch.com Presents: Trades of the Week

The Weekly Trade Post
Mike Loyko, RosterWatch Director of Scouting

The trade value of fantasy football players can be hard to quantify, and can vary from league to league. Fantasy football players like me are always concerned that they aren’t getting enough value in return for their star running back, and therefore, often reject solid trade offers. There isn’t a science or trade value chart for one to look at when evaluating how to fix a fantasy football roster after an 0-2 start.

That’s why starting this week at Rosterwatch we will be breaking down real fantasy football trades sent to us by our readers. These trades (and our evaluations of them) will give our readers an indication of what a player is able to get in return for one of there players as well as give our readers an idea of trades they might be able to make.

Here’s how it works:
Each week starting Week Three of the NFL Season, we want you to either tweet us or e-mail us a trade you have made in your fantasy football league or one are contemplating making in your football league.

Make sure you include:
1) What players you are trading away
2) What players you are receiving in return
3) How you roster is currently constituted and how it will look after
4) Your thoughts behind the trade and anything else you think we should know

I will personally sort through the trades sent in and pick 4-5 real fantasy football trades and give my evaluations on the trade. How did each side make out? Could you have asked for more? Who won the trade?

As the year progresses, we will have a database of sorts to look through and track the fantasy value of players throughout the season. If you are like me and love to make trades each week during the fantasy football season, but aren’t sure what to offer or where to start in the negotiations process this is a resource that could help you.

More information will be available on Tuesday afternoon, so make sure you stay tuned to Rosterwatch.com for all your fantasy needs.
