RosterWatch Week 13 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

  1. The Black Anaconda is back! Should we put him in lineups and not think twice?

    1. can’t feel super comfortable in Week 13 but if you gotta roll him, do it and feel sick.

      1. I saw M. Berry recommending players like his teammate Coleman, Inman, Roberts and so many others over Gordon. I about puked. Fire this guy up with confidence. I think he is a great play in DFS too. He might be lying again but i believe him when he says “I’m sober and in the best shape of my life.” Is the 4.3 sprint time true? Love to see him overcome a alcohol and drug problems that many of us are familiar with ourselves. I will be cheering for him. I got his floor at 8 targets and 75 yards. With his skill and consistent looks he can overcome his bad team and bad QB play, like D. Hopkins can.

I have to bench 1 – Evans, D. Bryant, R. Anderson or Gordon. I think Dez will be riding the pine Thursday night. (but he is due!)

  2. 10 team PPR Play 1QB 3WR 2RB 1Flex 8-4 1st place… but not peaking, lost 2 straight now
    Rivers and Goff
CMcCaffrey, Tev Coleman, DFreeman, SPerine, EElliott
    THill, GTate, SDiggs, SShepard, JuJuSmith-Schuster
    Greg Olsen, TKroft

WR: Mine are mediocre now: available are: Corey Davis, JGordon! Corey Coleman, Lockett, Kupp, Inman MBryant Any of these better for me for the stretch? Drop who?

RB: Need better depth? Available are: KDrake, McKissic, DBooker, RSmith Should I swap out any of my RB or someone else for a RB above?

TE: Do I keep Greg Olsen on bench for weeks 14-16? Have Kroft Available: VDavis, A.Sef-Jenkins, C.Fiedorowicz, JThomas Get one of these instead of Kroft or GOlsen?

QB: Keep both Rivers and Goff or drop Goff for TE/WR/RB other QBs available: Keenum, McCown, Brissett Garoppolo Flacco

    Thank you.

    1. drop one of your QBs for Kupp, Corey, Gordon

  3. How lon will Robert Woods be out?

    1. We’re thinking 2 more weeks at this time.

      1. Did Mike Evans tweak his hamstring? It looked like he was laboring out there a lot. I cant find any news on it but i’m concerned.

  4. Would you drop
Davante Parker for Westbrook. PPR ? And would you drop Wallace or Parker for Aaron Rodgers. Use Big Ben stafford at
Qb Tyreek and Antonio Brown weekly at wr.
    Thanks

    1. Drop Wallace for Dede, not Parker.

  5. Post By MichiganWolverineFan95

    BYRON, ALEX, or Trashman
JD Mckissick, Danny Woodhead, Corey Clement. Drop any of these 3 for Dede Westbrook or Jaquizz? can you put them in order of who i should drop first to last? Standard Scoring

    1. I view those three as basically equal and arguments could be made for all. In standard, JDM and Woodhead lose significant value, tho. IF you need a win this week and Martin remains out, I’d drop one of those two for Quizz and would consider dropping the other for Dede. Want to hold onto Clement for now.

    12 team Standard Scoring 8-4

    Dalton
    M. Gordon, Kamara, McCaffery, CJA, D. Henry
    M. Thomas, Keenan, C Davis, Doctson, D Parker
    ASJ and V Davis

Do we think Davis will be used more as a blocker again this game? should I roll him or ASJ?

Also should we flex out McCaffery again or do you think Doctson is in a nice spot?

    Thanks!

    1. heads are swimming just trying to get the new data up and ready for matchup tool – Will answer sit/starts after matchup tool goes up. Apologies – just want to give best answer possible with most info at hand.

  7. I want to drop Dez for DeDe or Corey Davis in a keeper league. Man-mode or just dumb?

He’s the only one I could drop due to roster limits and my other Wrs being M Thomas, AB and the Anaconda. Cowboys look awful.

    1. 1st round bye is locked up so I’m looking to weeks 15 and 16.

    2. If Dez isnt going to be your keeper this isnt too crazy. I have Dez and all he has been doing is riding the pint. I still think Dez has some touchdown upside but he does not look like the dominate Wr that he once was. As long as you can live with Dez blowing up when you drop him, this move wouldnt be awful. Also, if you can only play 2 wrs this discussion is pointless since Dez/Davis/DeDe wont ever start over Thomas and Brown.

      1. Thanks. At this point I am honestly too scare to even have Dez in my lineup at flex because of his low floor and limited upside. I would rather shoot for the moon with Josh Gordon.

  8. In one of my leagues the last playoff spot to awarded to the team with the most points. I am 8 points up on team I’m fighting with for that last spot. I am starting the Chargers D but I have Corey Coleman in my flex. Should I switch to Ekeler since the Coleman/Chargers D is a possible negative correlation and thus could limit my points or just throw the middle fingers up and roll them both out?

    1. I am leaning towards going Ekeler as Cleveland’s run D is stout and the Chargers may just use Ekeler in the short passing game and he could get extra work since the game could potentially get out of hand.

Plus Coleman could be on Casey Hayward.

    2. On the other hand, Josh Gordon’s presence could soften the coverage a little for Coleman. Kizer does suck though.

I tend to prefer the player that will be on the field most often, which would be Coleman. And since 8 points isn’t much, I think he would have the higher upside you need to maintain that lead.

    3. Coleman should get his regardless of what the defense does. If things work out right the Chargers will get a big lead and force Cleveland to throw the ball a lot. If/when this happens it helps both your def and Coleman. I feel that Ekeler is a complete crap shoot.

  9. In a PPR would you drop Parker for
    Ginn jr?

    1. They’re both crap-shoots, but it’s looking like Ginn is just the best bet right now.

    2. Post By woo.jonathanwoo

Yeah I think it’s about the same. Ginn could grab you a 60-yard touchdown on any given play. Only concern is how many mouths that NO offense has to feed, but I like Ginn. I hate him as a Michael Thomas owner.

    3. Parker has yet to show is potential and Ginn is pretty much playing to his ceiling right now. Ginn is a better play at this point.

  10. Standard league. Have Melvin Gordon drake and Doug martin Would you drop Any for burkhead? I have a claim in to drop James Conner for Kupp. My receivers are Allen
    Funchess thielen and M. lee.

  11. Obviously not dropping Gordon. Meant drop Martin for
    Burkhead ?

    1. I would. Martin seems like he’s done.

    2. Post By woo.jonathanwoo

As a Martin owner, I’d consider swapping for Burkhead even if Martin were healthy.

    3. You might want to cancel the claim for Kupp and get Burkhead for Conner instead. Your WRs are pretty solid.

  12. Drop Corey Davis for Josh Gordon?

    1. I wouldn’t but I am also not a big fan of Gordon. In his last “comeback” he did absolutely nothing but get suspended again. That being said both are stashes in which we are looking for upside so if you like Gordon more this is a move that can be done.

  13. What week are we picking up Aaron Rodgers? He looked fine on the sideline Sunday Night. Don’t want to pick him up to early though

    1. Get him ouln your roster before someone else does.

    2. If you want him you better get him now. He wont be on waivers long

  14. Looking ahead to next week, and maybe beyond, which defense should I stash, the Bills, Packers, or Jets. Trying to prepare for the playoffs.

    1. Post By woo.jonathanwoo

I could entertain the Bills seeing as how they’ll get Indy and Miami back-to-back at home. They’re still in the playoff hunt, too. I’d want to wait and see what this Browns offense looks like with Gordon and Coleman running amok before I went to go stash the Packers.

    2. The bills schedule is very juicy.

  15. Post By philliesphan1997@yahoo.com

No Dalton week 13 rankings? Plus Eli as a waiver grab? #Tilt

    1. Wouldn’t grab Eli with him being benched for Genoa.

      1. Post By woo.jonathanwoo

Genoa ha. Yeah Even if Eli were starting, I’d caution against grabbing him.

  16. 12 Team .5 PPR
Playoffs start week 14 and I️ have a first round bye. Current WR are Sterling, Corey Coleman, and Josh Gordon. Robert Woods is on the Waiver wire. Worth dropping Olsen (I’m a Kelce owner) for Woods? RBs are Gordon, Ekeler, Lynch, Burkhead, Darkwa, Woodhead and Zeek. Thanks in advance for the help!

    1. Post By woo.jonathanwoo

I don’t see the point in owning Olsen if you have Kelce. At this point, there are only a few (maybe less) scenarios where you would consider playing Olsen over Kelce or at the flex. If you have your eye on Woods, I say grab him. You might need the extra depth in a couple of weeks.

    2. Agreed. There is no reason to have Olsen when you have Kelcee.

  17. I want to send a sincere thank you to Rosterwatch for this season. Ive had some good breaks but even better advise. I’m sitting at 11-1 in a 14 team league and have secured the first round bye. I basically (always looking to improve mind you) have a two week vacation before the semifinal. Prestige Worldwide has been so consistent this year. Only two slightly below average weeks and thanks to the schedule, I slipped by with wins both times. Could not have done it without you guys, thank you.

    1. Post By woo.jonathanwoo

      Yo. 11-1 is good. I wish I were 11-1.

  18. Who should I use in my flex? K. Hunt, S. Diggs, J. Kearse, C. Kupp, or on waivers there is D. Amendola, C. Davis, C Coleman, K. Stills, J. Allen?. Should I drop R. Woods or hang onto him for the playoffs? I’ve locked up 1st place and the bye…

    1. Post By woo.jonathanwoo

Standard or PPR? If Woods is out two more weeks, it kind of depends how much you would need his production during the playoffs.

      1. PPR

  19. A team has no name, record: 6-6

Smith, Mariota or pick up Keenum? Win and in, lose and out

    1. Post By woo.jonathanwoo

Of those three, I would bet on Keenum.

Smith and Mariota have been wildly inconsistent or straight-up bad in recent weeks. So unless you’re more keen on banking your playoff chances on one of those two coming against the grain and gutting out a strong performance, Keenum has the more robust offense at the moment.

  20. 10 team standard league (8-4) Need 1 win over next two weeks to secure playoff spot

    QB: WENTZ, Stafford
RB: FOURNETTE, HOWARD, MCCAFFERY, Woodhead, J. Rodgers
WR: A. BROWN, DEMARYIUS, Doctson, Josh Gordon, Kupp, Kelvin Benjamin
    TE: OLSEN
    K: LUTZ

Corey Coleman and Mike Davis are available on the wire. I feel sketch about Benjamin the rest of the year and would only start him in an emergency, so does it benefit me more to drop KB for Corey Coleman? Benjamin would most likely be picked up so that could sting but he’s effectively a dead roster spot on my team.

    1. Post By woo.jonathanwoo

Hopefully others will chime in, but I don’t see an issue with that. Your equity at WR is strong otherwise, although you’ll have to see how the relationship plays out with Coleman and Gordon on the field. If Gordon winds up taking the cake between those two, having Coleman on the roster doesn’t move the needle anymore.

      1. Appreciate the response Woo!

      2. Thanks so much for helping the community, Mr. Woo!!!!

  21. Need advice for setting my roster for our playoffs in weeks 14& 15 (will finish 2nd or 3rd after week 13 so know whom I am playing in 1rs round). I just dropped ACooper (after the nasty hit/concus. trust his production even less). After studying weeks 14/15 matchups, I think I needs at least 1 RB and possibly a more productive WR.

    Current roster of RB/WR-MGordon/AKamara/TColeman/DMartin/KAllen/MEvans/THill/DParker/SShepard/JDoctson.

With the Ely benching and SShapard’s health concerns, should I drop him? Also considering dropping DMartin and/or DParker (don’t view him as playable unless Cutler returns if even then). I can pick up DHenry, CColeman, PRichardson and toying with MGoodwin. Is it time to make some of these changes for my playoffs? Thanks RWN!

    1. Yes- drop Martin, Parker, and you can drop Shep if you want-

Grab CC, PR for sure – Henry is a great stash – if some reason Murray goes down- Henry will win you the league. Who knows if it will happen, but he’s too nuclear of an option to leave out there floating around. Goodwin has been very solid, and all over my personal radar in deep competitive leagues. The switch at QB could hurt him for a week or 2, but should be better for him long term. Best wishes.

  22. Would you pick up Winston to start over Big Ben or stafford this week?

    1. Jeez, I don’t think so.

    2. No way. He still might not be healthy. Even if he plays with a good matchup there is no grantee that he finishes the game.

  23. PPR. Better stash. Booker or DiDi Westbrook? Have Gurley Howard perine and McKinnon. Also AB Tyreek Woods Ginn Jr
    Thanks

    1. Westbrook looks like a better stash to me.

  24. Not a waiver wire question, but a start question for my flex spot, standard league. Derrick Henry, Alfred Morris, DeVante Parker, or Sterling Shepard? All have some downsides to them. I would wait until later in the week, but the Cowboys play tomorrow. 🙁

Thank to you all, if I win this week, I’m the #1 seed going into the playoffs! Thank you!

  25. Roll with Parker. Cutler is looking like he will be back.
