RosterWatch Week 13 Waiver Wire Sheet Now Available

Another week, another group of unexpected waiver-wire gems have emerged. At this point in the season, many of your league-mates have given up and have quit managing their waiver wires. Those of you still in playoff contention must keep plugging away, as a means to improve your roster, or just in order to play waiver-wire defense against potential playoff opponents. Heck, some of you may want to make waiver acquisition this week in an attempt to prevent certain teams in your league from even making the playoffs. Even if there are no skill players available to you, it’s not a bad time to hoard some QBs with good schedules the rest of the way. Happy Waiver Hunting!

  1. Eli, Rivers or hoyer. Standard league?

    1. This week? Or, rest of season?

Rivers, Hoyer, Eli rest of season

  2. I’ve Roster Watched and traded my way into 1st place this year and a great lineup, but I’ve been hit with unfortunate matchups and I’m on a 3 game losing streak. I’ve got high points but I’m tied with the best record with someone else who is definitely going to win this week… so I have to win to keep 1st place going into the playoffs next week. Here is my lineup in a PPR.

QB – Tom Brady (vs. PHI)
    RB – Charcandrick West (@OAK)
RB – Doug Martin (vs. ATL)
    WR – Julio Jones (@TB)
    WR – DeAndre Hopkins (@BUF)
WR – Martavis Bryant (vs. IND)
    TE – Travis Kelce (@OAK)
W/T – Amari Cooper (vs. KC)
    W/T/R – Buck Allen (@MIA)

    Bench:
    -Mark Ingram (vs. CAR)
    -Chris Ivory (@NYG)
    -Stefon Diggs (vs. SEA)
    -Spencer Ware (@OAK, West handcuff)
    -Allen Hurns (@TEN, very questionable)
    -Matt Stafford (vs. GB)

**Am I setting this lineup correctly? I’m scared to play Ingram against the Panthers, even though it’s a home game since they wouldn’t let him run the ball even though Brees was terrible in the pass game last week. I feel that the Jets are going to spend most of their time passing rather than running the ball against the Giants. Diggs against the Seahawks isn’t a great matchup, plus he’s struggled a lot lately. I don’t think I can start Stafford over Brady this week. I’d love some input here, it’s a must-win week for me to get top seed! Thanks for the help all season RW!

    1. Hi Darkcloud,

Think you’re right to stick with Brady, here. Ride your horse at home. Only thing that scares us here is Charcandrick West. We’re afraid that’s going to be a big time-share with Ware. You may need to go with your gut on Ivory- if that’s what you feel. We can see what you are saying, but have to go with facts that NYG are a good matchup for RBs. Ivory has big upside and has been a solid RB1 on the season. I would check our rankings closer to game time for a final decision on that one- otherwise love the look of everything else.

  3. 14 Team .5 PPR (7-5)

    [1] QB: Rivers (Hoyer)
    [2] WR: Sanders, Diggs (Hurns)
    [2] RB: Ivory, J-Stew (Andrews)
    [1] TE: Barnidge (Gilmore)
    [1] FLEX: Gore
    [1] DEF: Patriots (Chiefs)
    Bench total : (5)

Just lost 5 out of my last 6 matchups after starting 6-0 this year but still going to make the 8 team playoff in this 14 team league. Charles and Smith Sr were big losses but now trying to plan for the playoffs so what moves should I make considering the following guys are available: Morris, Ajayi, Baldwin, Parker, Chandler, and Cutler? I have claims submitted dropping Hoyer for Morris, and then dropping Hoyer for Baldwin as a backup but I don’t know if I should be dropping Gilmore as well?

  4. renourka-

Great work on making the playoffs after absorbing such big injuries. The guys you can drop for sure are— Andrews, Gillmore.

If push comes to shove- you can drop Hoyer or Patriots DEF.

We’d target in this order: Morris, Cutler, Baldwin, Chandler, Ajayi, Parker

    Good luck,

    Byron

  5. Trashman! 47 pts from Russel Wilson, you are the qb whisper! If I win this week I’m in the playoffs, thanks to you.
    Qbs avail-
    Fitz, wilson,

    1. i’m tempted to roll with russell, but i like fitz vs the g-men. plus, wilson has been pedestrian in away games this season.

  6. Cont…
Hassleback, manziel (if he plays), hoyer, Alex smith, Winston, mariota. Please rank them top 5.

Also- flex- cooks, lafell, or Matt jones?

    Thanks!

  7. Good Afternoon,

In a pickle this week (basically I win I’m in the playoffs). 1 ppr (2 rbs, 3 wrs, 1 flex and 1 TE) my roster is J.Allen, Woodhead, Blount and Riddick. WR’s are Cooper, Watkins, John Brown, Hartline & Crowder. TE are Rudolph & Bennett. Also my kicker is John Brown. My QB are Fitzpatrick and Ryan.

How should I set my lineup for this week? I have Myers (jac) & Brown (NYG) for kickers….do I go with Cooper, John Brown and Watkins or Hartline as #3 wr? Blount, Allen and Riddick (flex)? I’m also leaning towards playing Fitz over Ryan.

    thanks

    1. coop, watkins, and brown first off. blount, allen, and riddick. fitz and brown

  8. Having made the playoffs in 2 season long leagues, I’m curious to look ahead to week 13 and 14, now(today Wednesday) to try to swipe waiver wire match up gold for QB’s, Defenses, kickers…..you know, be out in front of everyone else. Please help!!

    1. Post By FootballKingz

We’ve factored a bunch of that in to the Waiver Wire cheat sheet for this week. Love Cutler this week, love Jameis in Week 14- guys like Tyrod, Hoyer, Fitzpatrick should also be owned. Alex Smith is a reasonable one week flyer in a pinch right now, too- as is Hasselbeck.

DEF you’re fine to play the waiver wire every week. Houston is still on a lot of wires and deserve to be owned. Kickers- guys like Connor Barth and Cairo Santos are pretty solid right now. Both, on many wires.

      Good Luck,

      Byron

  9. Upper Bracket of the playoffs, Wildcard weekend for me PPr league: Please pick 2, John Brown, Gio, Forte, or Desean Jackson?

    1. Post By FootballKingz

Yikes- please see Trashman’s Flex Rankings over the weekend to sort this out- as well as our positional rankings. As of now, it’s a very close call- but the safe play is probably Gio + Forte. Very good matchups, both should get plenty of run this week- and both are threats in PPR at the RB position

  10. can i drop lynch and grab a couple handcuffs or will that bite me week 15-16?

    1. well they’ll probably ease him in even when he returns, so i wouldn’t likely rely on him anyway.

  11. 1 ppr, win and i’m in the playoffs, lose and I’m done. I can start 3 wrs and a flex. Right now my starting WR’S are Cooper ,Watkins and John Brown (Hartline and Crowder on the bench)…I have Riddick at my flex (Blount/J.Allen are my starting RB’s with Woodhead on the bench)……Devonte Parker is available on the waiver wire…….am I getting too cute by picking up Parker and start him say for John Brown who according to the match up tool is facing #30 in the Rams or Watkins who is facing #28 in the Texans?

  12. Need a win to make the playoffs…Stick with Carr or stream Cutler or Fitzpatrick?
