RosterWatch Week 16 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Byron BylineHere it is, the final waiver wire cheat sheet of the 2017 fantasy season. We’re moving on to our maniacal NFL prospect evaluation endeavors for all of RWNATION soon enough, but not before shipping these championship matchups this weekend. Good luck, everybody.

Building a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

  1. Oh amazing Roster Watch, you got me to the finals, and I even have a decent chance of winning! But I need your help figuring out a few things. Please oh please help me this one last time!

    My roster (standard league):

    QB: Drew Breez
    RB: Zeke/Melvin Gordon
    WR: Green/Keenan Allen
    TE: Graham
    K: Tucker
    D: Steelers
    Flex: ???

Bench: Kerwin Williams, Jamaal Williams, Sterling Shepard, Derrik Henry, Alfred Morris (will drop likely).

    Questions.
    1) Who should I take from my bench to the flex?
    2) I can snag Martavis Bryant and/or Mike Wallace. Do you prefer any of them (or both of them) to people on my bench for that flex spot?
    3) I can snag Chicago DST (why so low on them) or Wash DST, would you take any of those over Steelers?
    4) Do I stick with Graham, given two goose eggs in the last two outings?

    Thank you!

    1. We’d take our chances with Graham

Like both CHI and WAS – Vegas likes CHI more. Just think WAS has been a solid fantasy def at home, and could see Josh Gordon hanging one up on the Bears- that game could be sneaky close. Your choice, though.

Would scoop Martavis for sure -drop Henry

Flex, you will have to wait for rankings- hunch it will be Martavis.

My league is set up with the finals being week 15 and 16 total points so I’m up 36 points going into this weekend. He has Wilson, Thielen, Rudolph, Fournette and Landry. So a lot of guys to make up points.

For me at QB I have Goff, Brees and Bortles. Do I just stick with the safe pick and start Brees?

For WR I have Tate, Funchess, Goodwin, Westbrook and woods.

I’m leaning towards starting Tate and Funchess and flexing woods.

RB I am starting Bell and McCaffery I also have Kerwyn Williams, do I consider flexing him and taking Tate out?

    1. I would start Brees. I also like who you are rolling out at Wr. Williams might not play so you will wanna keep an eye on that before starting him. I also think you wanna keep an eye out on Westbrook. He could see an uptick in targets with Lee/Allen being out going into the game.

So last week was week 1 in the finals and I got absolutely crushed. I am currently down 161-71. I am trying to set my lineup based off players with the highest ceiling and am going to pray my opponets team takes a shit.
    My Roster including bench…….
    QB: Russell Wilson, Phil Rivers
RB: Alvin Kamara, Lesean McCoy, Jamal Williams, Mike Davis, Peyton Barber
WR: Keenan Allen, Mike Evans, Doug Baldwin, Martavis Bryant, Dede Westbrook
    TE: Travis Kelce
D/ST: Philly or I can pick up the Bears or Redskins on waivers
