The Fantasy Fallout Heading Into Week 11

Another week, another slew of injuries. Any given Sunday my friends… This is the fantasy fallout going into Week 11

Jaguars vs Ravens

  • Allen Hurns has a hernia and needs surgery, but he’s a boss, and he’s going to play through it Thursday. Apparently he HAS been playing through it for some time. A single tear just crystallized on Chuck Norris’ chiseled cheek.

  • T.J. Yeldon isn’t so much of a boss, and is very questionable to play Thursday as he was seen in a walking boot after the game. If he misses time, I wouldn’t recommend using Toby Gerhart or Denard Robinson.

Lions vs Packers

  • Joique Bell led the Lions in touches (14) as I thought, but still ended up with a paltry 35 yards on the day. Still, he’ll likely lead the backfield as long as the Lions keep winning…

  • I don’t know what’s up with Aaron Rodgers or his offense, but who is Justin Perillo? It’s pretty bad when the Trashman has never even heard of him.

  • Davante Adams has been Rodgers’ favorite target since he’s returned and could be in for some monsters if Rodgers can right his ship.

  • James Jones isn’t targeted enough to be anything more than a dart throw flex.

Dolphins vs Eagles

  • Lamar Miller is still the No.1 in the Dolphins backfield, but Jay Ajayi will continue to eat into his carries, especially when he looks like the more explosive back.

  • Bradford is going to miss a couple games, leaving the Sanchize to run the offense. I honestly don’t think it will be a downgrade so much as a continuous display of mediocrity.

  • Ryan Mathews gets such irregular carries, but he’s still worth flexing almost every week.

Browns vs Steelers

  • With the season in the tank, don’t be surprised if Manziel starts the rest of the season. Fortunately for his skill players, he’s actually starting to put his passing game together.

  • Isaiah Crowell led the Browns backfield in carries with 6, if that means anything to you.

  • Big Ben’s legend grew as he came in as the backup on a battered foot, and had his best game of the season. He actually broke the record for yards thrown by a backup in a game.

Bears vs Rams

  • Langford will probably head back to the bench in week 11, but you need to hold him in dynasty leagues as he’s likely to be the starter next year with Matt Forte clearly on the outs in Chicago heading to free agency.

  • Alshon Jeffery only played a little over half the offensive snaps on Sunday, but he was nursing a groin injury and the bears led handily most of the game. He should get more usage against the Broncos.

  • I’m apt to say Zach Miller’s recent surge is a fluke, but as long as Eddie Royal is out and Marquess Wilson maintains his role as a non-factor on the offense, Miller may be worth streaming.

  • Nick Foles has been benched for Case Keenum, and though Keenum will be erratic as ever he should generate more offense in the air. Wes Welker is worth a pickup in most formats.

Cowboys vs Buccaneers

  • Jameis Winston looks like Big Ben in and out of the pocket. The big games will come — probably when Donteea Dye isn’t his second-best option.

Panthers vs Titans

  • The Panthers are the only NFL team that has run the ball more than thrown it. It’s not too late to acquire Jonathan Stewart in trade. He’s going to continue to get consistent carries.

  • Antonio Andrews led the Titans’ backfield, but he didn’t do much of anything versus the Panthers’ stout defense. David Cobb could steal the job sooner than later. He’s likely to get his first crack on Thursday night.

  • Justin Hunter is out for the season with a broken ankle. Dorial Green-Beckham is not a lock to do anything, but his opportunities will increase. He’s worth the speculative pickup.

Saints vs Redskins

  • Tim Hightower got way too much action in this one. I have my doubts, but he looks like a better use of a roster spot than C.J. Spiller based on his usage.

  • Willie Snead wasn’t fully healthy in the game, which contributed to his goose egg, but the role of Brees’ No.1 option is starting to trend in Cooks’ favor strongly.

  • Every ‘Skin got some against the Saints, including Alfred Morris who led in carries and yards on the ground. So even though Matt Jones had a breakout game, Morris is still going to be involved going forward it appears.

  • Jamison Crowder led the ‘Skins WRs in targets and receptions against the Saints.

Vikings vs Raiders

  • AP is healthy and on a roll now, allowing the passing in Minnesota to serve as a luxury.

  • Clive Walford has a caught a TD in 3 of his last 4 games. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get to catch much else outside of the endzone.

Chiefs vs Broncos

  • This may be the last we have seen of Peyton Manning if Brock Osweiler can manage not to throw 3 or 4 picks next game. This development bodes well for Broncos backs, as they should get more run.

  • I don’t see much downgrade for Broncos WRs as Manning hasn’t exactly been throwing darts. I do see Vernon Davis picking things up in a safety blanket-type of role for the young Osweiler. It could also mean the long-awaited Cody Latimer breakout that dynasty types have been hoping for due to the second-team connection between Osweiler and Latimer.

  • Charcandrick West is viable in the passing game as well as the running game, and Alex Smith likes to work with as few options as possible, so this is bad news for other skill players in K.C. as far as consistency goes.

Patriots vs Giants

  • Danny Amendola should be your first waiver priority this week with Edelman likely gone for the remainder of the fantasy season.

  • James White could see an uptick in looks as the likely receiving back in New England as well.

  • Of course Harris’ only recent bad game is the one I use him in in week 9. He’s the Giants No.2, maybe for the rest of the season now that Cruz is shut down.

Cardinals vs Seahawks

  • Don’t be fooled by Ellington’s big game. He had 5 carries to CJ2K’s 25.

  • Doug Baldwin had a hell of a game, but I’m still not starting any ‘Hawks skill player not named Marshawn Lynch. There’s too much inconsistency on this offense.

Texans vs Bengals

  • Alfred Blue had the most carries, Jonathan Grimes had the most yards. Neither one is a good play next week against the Jets, or a good NFL running back, for that matter.

  • T.J. Yates is likely to struggle next week as well. Deandre Hopkins is the only Texan you can count on against the Jets, and even he won’t be a lock on Revis Island.

  • A.J. Green has been a WR1 in name only this year.

  1. I had to drop Moncrief last week to a 1-week QB. Would you rank Amendola ahead of Moncrief as a waiver pick-up?

  2. Starting Romo this week. Plan on picking up T Williams. Start Williams over Nate Washington or Ant Andrews or Karlos Williams? Thanks

    1. i’d start nate if hopkins sits. if not, k williams

  3. Is it worth dropping Funchess or D JAx to pick up Welker in a ppr league? Thanks!

  4. Bye week QB issue

I’ve got Ben on bye. 14 team league, QBs get 4/TD and 1/60yds passing -2/Int

Right now I’ve got Flacco rostered. My options are pick up Osweiler and take a flyer on him vs the bears secondary. Or the other options are smoking Jay, Famous Jameis, my bald brother Hasselbeck, Cousins or Johnny football.

    Any thoughts?

    1. i have flacco and cutler back to back right now. i lean flacco though.

[2] RB: D. Martin, Andrews (Ingram^, Duke Johnson, Abdullah)

    Bench total : (5)

Available guys: Rashad Jennings, Ellington, Ajayi, McCluster, Bradshaw, Morris, Cobb, Bell, Crowell, K. Wright, Ginn, T. Williams, Crowder, Big Ben, Romo, Cutler,

Well Matt Jones taught me a lesson this week after I dropped him! He was picked up and started by my opponent and I lost by 16 points (Jones had 27, while my Andrews had 0)… Lost two in a row now so who should I be dropping tonight and who should I be adding to this team?
