Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 15

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 15

RosterWatch.com

This is the classiest group of dumpster diamonds we’ve had this season, and it couldn’t come at a better time. Here for you semifinal selection, the Week 15 Garbage Grab

Quarterback

  • Joe Flacco, Ravens: Flacco has gone over 300 yards with multiple TDs in back to back games under the new OC in Baltimore. He has a spectacular matchup with the abysmal Eagles secondary this week.

Runningback

  • Justin Forsett, Broncos: Forsett played ahead of Booker in his first game with the Broncos, and I see that trend continuing in a matchup with the Patriots in which Denver is going to have to go through to air to hang in. Forsett is an adroit pass catching back.
  • Dwayne Washington, Lions: Washington got 17 carries last week in Riddick’s stead. It’s yet to be seen if Riddick will go this week, but he’s doubtful so there’s a good chance Washington will lead the backfield again.

Wide Receiver

  • Dontrelle Inman, Chargers: I’m amazed that Inman isn’t owned in more leagues. He’s arguably the 1B to Williams’ 1A n San Diego. He’s got a great matchup with the Raiders this week.
  • Adam Thielen, Vikings: Thielen has been Minnesota’s best WR over the past month, going over 100 yards last week. The fact the the Vikings are facing the Colts and their sieve like secondary makes this play a lock.
  • Tedd Ginn Jr.: Ginn is Cam’s favorite WR these days. I think it’s because Cam is struggling and he’s reverting to his 2015 safety blankets. In any case, Ginn Jr. will have a big night out on Monday.
  • JJ Nelson, Cardinals: Michael Floyd is now a Patriot, and Nelson is now a starter opposite Fitzgerald. He’ll get plenty of targets against the Saints.

Tight Ends

  • Ryan Griffin, Texans: No Fiedo means more action for Griffin. I wouldn’t be surprised if he leads the team in targets as Osweiler doesn’t know what to do with the ball besides check down to his TEs.
  • Jermaine Gresham, Cardinals: Gresham is averaging over  7 targets over the last month with Palmer losing some arm strength as the season wears on.

  1. Moncrief was dropped in our league. This is the last week to pick up free agents in our league, and playoffs go through week 17. Is he worth a pickup? I don’t think I have a WR I would drop for him (have Watkins, Mitchell, t williams, Michael Thomas, Jamison Crowder), but I could possibly drop Fiedorowicz (have reed, l green, d walker – TEs get full PPR and we can flex one). Help me Trashman, you’re my only hope!

    1. i could drop fiedo for him, though he’s not certain to play next week. i would look at your schedule next week first and see if you would even consider starting him.

      1. Thanks Trashman. It was a depth move more than anything else, as our pickups now have to take us through weeks 15-17. I’ll stand pat, as I like flexing a WR. Just wish I could figure out a way to ad a 6th WR, as we have to play 3 and I won’t be able to cover injuries with pickups in the next couple weeks.

        1. I like flexing a TE I mean. They get full PPR everyone else gets 1/2 PPR.

  2. Trashman, this is it! I have Brees on the road or Flacco. 1 point PPR league, 6 pts for td and 5 points added for 50 yard tds. I also have thomas and cooks on my bench. My wide outs are Evans and T. Williams.

So, would you go Brees and 1 (cooks and/or Thomas) or Flacco and Evans/ Williams?

Finally, Flex. I have Ware or Coleman. My other RBs are Johnson and Powell (who got me 28 points yesterday).

    What say you?
    Thanks,

    1. i think flacco is the upside play. i could see him getting longer plays than brees this week. i would probably go with the 2nd configuration. the powell play gives you some room to play. i’d go with coleman.

  3. Stressin over these semis. Thanks for yalls help.

    STD league
    Rivers or Tyrod

Need two WR – diggs, Gabriel, Richard Mathews, Mitchell.

Then I need a flex out of those not picked above and – farrow, Dixon, or Crowell.

    Thanks!

    1. rivers, gabriel, diggs, crowell

      1. Perfect! Thanks, here hoping I’m back next week for the final!

        Good luck all

  4. Would you start flacco or bortles over cam Newton?

Also would you play DeAndre Hopkins or Malcolm Mitchell?

  5. Right now I’m playing Evans, Gabriel, Howard, T Coleman, Rudolph, and Farrow. My bench is home to Dixon, Inman, Walker, Mike Thomas, Tate, and Malcolm Mitchell. In a half point ppr, would you make any switches? I could also pick up Sanu or Jordan Mathews if they tickle your fancy.

    1. i’d play dixon or inman over farrow.

      1. Even though you have Farrow higher in your flex rankings?

  6. I have both Kelce and Eifert — would today’s weather impact your choice — currently going with Kelce

    1. Any thoughts on why both of these TEs disappeared?
