Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 4

Trashman BylineThe Grab this week is the cleanest it’s been in awhile, and that’s because a lot of young prospects and older but big names have been released to the waiver wire due to injury or lack of production. It’s still early in the season though so there is yet hope for these dumpster diamonds, especially this week.

Duke Johnson 750

Duke Johnson RB, Browns: We got heavy doses of Duke when the Browns got behind last week, and week 4’s matchup with the Chargers should put them in similar straits. With few offensive weapons and less room for error, the Browns would be wise to get their talented rookie heavily involved.

Ted Ginn WR, Panthers: Ginn is the de facto no.1 WR for the Panthers, having led their receiving corps in targets the last two weeks. Coming off of a 93 yd week 3 performance, Ginn has the field stretching ability to put up some respectable numbers against Tampa’s middling defense.

Reggie Bush RB, 49ers: Bush has been all but forgotten since injuring himself in week 1. Still the passing down and hurry up back for San Fran, he should get plenty of action trying to catch up with the Packers’ point barrage.

Leonard Hankerson WR, Falcons: The new no.2 on Atlanta’s high-flying offense needs to be owned. Julio Jones can’t catch everything…or can he?

Blake Bortles QB, Jaguars: Bortles is going to have to get busy this week out of sheer necessity. The Colts are making a move to get back to the top of the AFC South, and the Jaguars are going to have to score points if they want to come close to stopping them.

Theo Riddick RB, Lions: Joique Bell is OUT, and the Lions seem to trust Riddick in dicey situations. I’d say facing the Seahawks in Seattle is pretty dicey. A comeback and hurry up mode specialist, Riddick has his hands full on Monday.

Gary Barnidge TE, Browns: McCown likes Barnidge a lot more than Manziel does, so it helps Gary’s cause to have the elder statesman under center. Barnidge had a breakout last week, and though the matchup is tougher against San Diego, McCown needs a safety blanket and he’ll be a big one.

DeVante Parker WR, Dolphins: Parker is coming up in the Dolphins pecking order, notching 7 targets last week. We know the talent is there, and the timing with Tannehill will soon follow. Arguably the 3rd WR in Miami now, he could have a similarly big day to another 3rd WR, Donte Moncreif, against the Jets.

  1. My 3-0 record is on the line this week as Heath Miller and Steve Smith were pretty underwhelming on Thursday. They combined for 5 points while my 0-3 opponent got 28 points out of Tucker, Flacco and his Ravens DEF (you can tell he’s a Ravens fan)… Given my early deficit, should I leave my lineup as is or maybe swap out Ivory for a different FLEX player?

Also, would you drop Rishard Matthews for Agholor in this league?

    1. i like ivory in. i’d only drop matthews if you don’t plan on playing him anytime soon.

  2. Dalton or Rivers this week? 6 points passing TD league

  3. I need 2: Foster, Hill, Abdullah, J. Stewart. Rawls is also on the waiver wire but I would need to drop someone significant.

    1. half ppr

  4. I have an open flex on my Dk dfs line up with $3600 left. I have Rawls there for now, but should I go with theo riddick? Or anyone else?

I’m about to have best 1-3 team in history! Lost week 1 by 4 points to a team that is now undefeated and I lost these past 2 weeks the highest scoring teams in the league each week! I’m not panicking yet however I am tired of this failed Kyle Rudolph experiment and I think I wanna trade for Olsen with a 1-3 team (who just beat me) because he only has Ingram, CJ Anderson, Blount, and Bush as RBs… worth trading one of my backs for him? If so who would you offer up? He also has Rivers and Luck if that matters…

Best FA TEs include: Rogers, L. Green, Miller, Ertz, D. Allen, J. Hill, and Gilmore
