Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 5

QB: Derek Anderson, Panthers: I don’t care who’s throwing the ball, they’re going to tee off on the Bucs’ pitiful defense.

RB: Jalen Richard, Raiders: I think Richard has just as much chance to go big on a depleted Chargers squad as Washington, who is already likely owned in your league.

Jacquizz Rodgers, Falcons: He’s all the Bucs have as far as a running game is concerned. Yeah, they’ll throw a bunch, but he’s more of a pass catching back anyway.

WR: Sammie Coates, Steelers: I’m expecting big things from Coates this week. His high targets are bound to catch up with his field stretching  ability sooner than later, and although Revis isn’t the man he once was, he may instill enough fear to make Big Ben rely on his no.2  more this week.

Brice Butler/Terrance Williams, Cowboys: My money is on Butler based off of Dak’s preference for him in the end-zone last week, but either receiver is worth a flex in deeper leagues.

Robert Woods, Bills: Woods is still largely unowned, and he’s going to be the Bills’ no.1 for the rest of the regular season. The targets make him worth the risk.

Tajae Sharpe, Titans: Still the most targeted Titans WR, Sharpe has a good enough matchup and enough people sleeping on him to make a dent this week.

Brian Quick, Rams: Could he finally have turned the corner? Quick was one of our sleepers for 2015, but we might have been a year early.

TE: Cameron Brate, Buccaneers: The Bucs are going to have to air it out on Monday night, and Brate looks to be second on the totem pole after Evans these days.

Virgil Green, Broncos: Every rookie QB needs a safety blanket.

C.J. Uzomah, Bengals: Look for Uzomah to get targeted over the middle all day against a soft Dallas D.

  1. RW, must start 3; who would you suggest?

    Lamar Miller
    Le’Veon Bell
    Melvin Gordon
    Jordan Howard

    Thanks!

    1. Leave out Lamar – stacked team GL

  2. RW, another league; who would you suggest to start for 1 flex pos?

    Victor Cruz
    Kenneth Dixon
    Wendell Smallwood
    Derrick Henry

    Thanks!

  3. Standard scoring

    Smallwood or Jacquizz?

      1. Would you drop Lockett to stash Smallwood?

        1. Post By Byron Lambert

          yes

  4. Cousins or flacco

  5. Who is the odd man out between Walker, Rudolph, and D Washington?

  6. What defense to play out of the last two games? Packers, giants, Buccaneers, Or panthers.

  7. Need to p/u defense for the week in standard league

Chiefs, Titans, Skins, 9ers, Falcons, Lions, Chargers?

  8. Michael Thomas is available in one of my leagues. Would you use first waiver pick on him over Meredith? Coates not available. Also, would you stream Hoyer or Tyrod over Dalton this week?
    Thanks

    1. the saints are notorious for their random target distribution and they’re facing Carolina. i would aim for meredith first if you need him this week. i would stream either qb over dalton this week.

  9. I’m having a hard time thinking I dropped Booker for Perkins – You guys still buying that Perkins will become part of this offense and Booker won’t become a part of Denver’s?

I’m okay with sticking to my guns as I’ve been spending my FAAB money like on players no one else is even considering in my league.

With bye weeks looming – who is your first drop? Alf, Perkins, Dixon, Crowder, Hogan, Michael Thomas?

    1. Booker has fewer hurdles to clear before seeing major action, but in either case, it might not fully materialize this season. The Broncos have one of the most run friendly schedules here on out though. perkins or morris would probably be my first drop.

  10. Also wondering about how you see Thomas WR

I have A Robinson, DJax, Coates, and Watkins (IR slot) as my WR corp

Im loaded at RB — should I drop J Richard (OAK) for Thomas (NO) or C Coleman (CLE) to bolster WR ranks?

    THX
