Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 7

I didn’t have to dig to deep to find my Grab guys this week, but I couldn’t ignore some of the low ownership percentages of some really productive players. These guys  will help you win your deep or daily  leagues this week, and you won’t have to give up much if anything to get them.

Malcolm Floyd WR, Chargers: I doubt most of us consider Floyd garbage, but he’s still owned in only 35% of leagues. This is absurd considering he’s outscored Emmanuel Sanders, Eric Decker, Michael Crabtree, Andre Johnson, Pierre Garcon, Calvin Johnson…I could go on. He’s worth a flex start until he fails.

Robert Woods WR, Bills: Woods is the beneficiary of a QB who can toss the ball around and has no favorites, yet. Woods also benefits from teams paying so much attention to Sammy Watkins. He had almost 80 yds and a TD last week, and I like his matchup again this week versus Minnesota.

Isaiah Crowell RB, Browns: Again, Crowell is not garbage, but he’s owned in half the leagues that Terrance West is, and that’s unacceptable. He’s the best back on his team, and though he’s not starting, the Browns run the ball a ton and Crowell gets goal line carries. He’s worth a flex start this week.

Bernard Pierce RB, Ravens:
It makes me a little sick to advocate for Pierce, but the fact is he’s going to get carries if he’s healthy, he is, and the Ravens are playing the easiest defense to run on in the league in the Falcons. Enough said.

Davante Adams WR, Packers: Adams actually got more looks than Randall Cobb last week, and he’s only owned in about 5% of leagues. You remember how Nelson, Jones, and Jennings all produced a few years ago? Well that’s ramping up again in Nelson, Cobb, and Adams. The rookie needs to be owned and flexed.

Jermaine Kearse WR, Seahawks: No Harvin, no problem. Kearse is Seattle’s best deep threat, and though Seattle doesn’t often go deep Kearse should see at least a touch more action now that Percy is a Jet. I like him for another TD this week against the Rams.

Tre Mason RB, Rams: Mason looked like St. Louis’ best back against the 49ers, and he’ll probably look the best against another tough defense in the Seahawks. He’s just got more pop than Stacy and Cunningham.

Chase Ford TE, Vikings: Nobody is catching passes for the Vikings looked very good last week against the Lions, but Ford at least served as a safety blanket for a Teddy Bridgewater who is still learning a lot. I like him to continue in that role until Kyle Rudolph returns.

Ryan Tannehill QB, Dolphins: I give Tannehill a little bit of grief for his middling play, but the recent emergence of Jarvis Landry has bolstered his short passing game considerably. I like him to put QB 1 numbers in what should be a shootout with the Bears this week.

In a standard league I need a flex play this week. Davante Adams, John Brown, or Anquan Boldin?

  3. I’m in a standard ten team league with a pretty high waiver spot. Would you drop Bishop Sankey for Tre Mason?
