Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 9

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 9

RosterWatch.com

Here are a few Trashy Treasures to help you through another bye week minefield. Be warned, they are not for the weak-kneed or timid.

Quarterback

  • Colin Kaepernick, 49ers: Should Hyde sit, Kaepo could lead the team in rushing. Even if Hyde plays, he should still do damage on the ground in addition to post solid numbers through the air against a sub par Saints secondary in what should be a high scoring game.
  • Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins: Tannehill is being encouraged to use his feet more in addition to having a stellar matchup against the sieve-like Jets secondary.

Running Back

  • C.J. Prosise, Seahawks: Prosise can do it all, including catch passes out of the backfield, which helps a less mobile Wilson. He did well in relief of Michael last week and should be similarly effective versus an easily run on Bills defense.
  • Damien Williams, Dolphins: Williams has scored in two of his last three games. He’s highly TD dependent, but in a bye week nightmare he could help keep you afloat.
  • DuJuan Harris, 49ers/Shaun Draughn, 49ers: Harris is the better play in standard, while Draughn makes sense in PPR leagues. Either is only useful if Hyde doesn’t play.

Wide Receiver

  • Kenny Stills, Dolphins: Still went Bonkers in his last outing to the tune of 100 yards and a TD. Against the lamest pass defense in the league, he has a good shot to put up similar numbers this week.
  • Rishard Matthews, Titans: Matthews is finally coming into form as the Titans leading receiver after a slow start. His floor is rock solid against San Diego.
  • Brian Quick, Rams: There’s no way that Quick should be owned in less than 10% of leagues. He led his team in receiving in their last game, and he has a dream matchup against the Panthers who lead the league in yards allowed to WRs.
  • Torrey Smith, 49ers: I have a hate affair with Smith, but he makes a commonsense play against the Saints this week.
  • Dontrelle Inman, Chargers: Williams and Benjamin are banged up, and though they should both play, Inman should see his fair share of looks – especially with Hunter out this week.
  • Jeff Janis, Packers: A late add to the grab, Janis got around 95% of snaps last week and should see similar time on the field if Cobb can’t go, which is likely.

Tight End

  • Lance Kendrick, Rams: Coming off of 8 and 9 target back to back games, Kendricks has a juicy meeting with the Panthers who are almost as bad against TEs as they are with WRs.

      1. Thanks Trashman!! I hope this one is especially stanky!

  2. I’m a little torn, the rankings have me going one way and the trashman flex rankings have me going another. I have 3 spots, who should I start? Diggs, Sproles, Marshall or Adams?

    1. i’d go with the 3 wrs

      1. Sorry typo- need two wrs not 3. Who would you take out of Marshall Diggs Adams?

  3. Standard scoring

  4. Drop Britt for Enunwa?

Pick 3 to start, your rankings have them all relatively close….

    1. i’d sit ty of that group. i still like him this week, if you can get him in elsewhere.

  6. Have Big Ben and stafford, can only start 1…

Big Bens health concerns and Stafford at MIN leave me uneasy.

I’m feeling a little trashy and thinking about picking up Kaep for the week.. thoughts trashman?

    1. I don’t love Kaepo’s matchup this week. Cutler and Flacco are some trashier picks that I think will pay off this week.

  8. RW, 14-team Std scoring league:

Two flex spots. Which 2 do I start??

    Lesean McCoy
    Derrick Henry
    Tyrell Williams
    Devante Parker
    Tim Hightower

    Thanks!!

Any suggestions on TEs to target in a trade for the rest of the season? I only have Barnidge really. Walford is a hope and a prayer.
