Week 1 Waiver Wire Streamers: Kickers

Many of you have astutely chosen to play a waiver-wire kicker strategy to begin the 2015 season. Here are the streamers we recommend, all of which are likely to be on your waiver wire- as they are each less than 50% owned across fantasy leagues. We’ve included Week 2 and Week 3 matchups as well, for those of you who like to look ahead a few weeks.

        LOL- it’s close- but I prefer Rivers at HOME vs Stafford on the road. Very close though, matchup tool leans slightly towards Stafford- I don’t personally trust him as much after owning him many times over the last few year.

    Could I get some feedback on my draft, I used the cheat sheet and it worked well, but my position (9th in 10 team) just kept defaulting to WR. And there is always someone taking someone way out of position that seems to throw it off (Brady went in round 3!?!).
    Standard ESPN scoring but 6pt TD

    My strategy was to go with the RW cheat sheet without question, then at the end with the QB market the way it was (people taking two in 10 team draft with 5 bench…) I figured wait till the end for QB/TE and get a kicker and defense I thought would be very steady.

    Can you please give me:
    1. Overall feedback on the team
    2. What I should do about RB
    3. If it makes sense to go with my gut feeling to drop Stafford and get Taylor or maybe Teddy.

    I just don’t have a lot of faith in Stafford, but at the same time I just don’t know enough. What I think is that Taylor will light up Indy’s defense running and that will open up the passing for him. Especially this first week I think he will break a lot of ankles.

      Really like Taylor- but not over Stafford…..yet. Teddy deserves serious consideration over Stafford- if you personally like him more- we say go for it.

    Hey guys I need some help. I am in a 10 team 1 ppr and I need 2 out of these: Doug Martin, Sammy Watkins, Nelson Agholor. The Matchup Tool indicates that I should go with Doug Martin and Nelson Agholor but I have always lived by the rule of play my stars week 1. Sitting Watkins for Agholor or even Martin to an extent seems like one of those moves that is a go big or go home and I am not sure week 1 is the time and place for that…. Any help with be greatly appreciated thanks guys!!!

      Martin is a lock. Toss up between Sammy and Agholor. We like Agholor a bit more because of the matchup and the offense. But, we have no problem rolling with Sammy as he is the clear cut #1 in BUF and maybe comes with a bit less uncertainty.

      Great team ea4582!

      Freeman, Jones, Williams, Robinson, and possibly Lockett should all be owned in 12 tm leagues. You can def drop one TE and Cutler. Since you don’t own Rashad Jennings you could consider dropping AWilliams- for Freeman. Quick is an interesting hold- but a guy we wouldn’t lose sleep over if you dropped for somebody- we might hang on to him for a a couple of weeks.

      Don’t think the handcuff is ARZ is worthwhile- will still be a split time. Might like Chris Johnson best, but wouldn’t be shocked if he lost goal lines to David Johnson- making situation murky. Not sure Josh Robinson at 5’7″ will be a high efficiency hand cuff either. You don’t own shady which makes Williams a more difficult own- but he is an absolute stud we don’t mind seeing on any of our followers benches. If McCoy gets hurt- Williams will eventually be lead back and may be a goal line guy anyways. Same thing though, as talented as we think he is – as a rookie he still might split time with Brown and Dixon is Shady goes down. Making him a bit less valuable to you.

        Awesome intel once again! I dropped Andre Williams, picked up Freeman. I couldnt make up my mind on Karlos Williams, Josh Robinson, and Lockett. I love Lockett but my roster is solid at Wr with Antonio Brown Julio. I could use a 3rd Wr but that could be quick or agholor. Wait and see what approach. I dont have top 5 rbs but I have depth which i like. Qb is a little shaky with Sam Bradford and the injury history but Ill roll the dice. IMO the jury is still out on Eifert so I cant drop Allen. Same can be said for me holding onto two QB’s, everyone has two qbs in this league.

      smith is the safest play. he’ll lead his team in targets. if you’re looking for upside though, i think abdullah is the play.

    Would love some feedback on my draft (10 team ppr, 4pts for throwing tds). I followed the cheat sheet almost perfectly, but there was a run on qbs in the 7th so I grabbed peyton:

      wow, great squad rw! you’re stacked everywhere but te. i might try trading a rb or a combo of wrs for an elite TE. in any case i think you need another te option. rodgers may lose quite a few targets to jones.

          great team. it’s tough, but i’d say jones as his carries are going to be dependent on game flow. i think johnson has a better chance of taking the starting job at some point. coleman is an every down player who i’d like to see in a game or two before i cut.

    Okay guys! Some WDIS questions for two different leagues:

    14 team .5 PPR –

    Who to start at RB2 and Flex out of Ivory, J-Stew, and Gore? Have to pick 2 guys there and your most recent rankings have me starting Ivory and J-Stew over Gore right now…

    10 team PPR –

    This is a tougher one… Pick 1 for my FLEX out of D. Adams, Ellington, or Abdullah!?

      I like Ellington most in your 10 team. yeah, it’s tough but it really comes down to matchups with those rbs. if you look at the matchup tool, ivory and stew have much better matchups than gore this week. that’s being said, i only have gore one spot behind ivory in my flex rankings.
