RWi Week 14 RB TD Dependency – Expanded Version

Week 14 RB TD Dependency
Byron Lambert, Rosterwatch.com

The dependency tool continues to evolve. As it should. We have a tremendous amount of data at this point in the season. No longer should we be making decisions based on “gut feelings”. We need to tilt the odds in our favor and use the plethora of information at hand.

We have been examining 3 week data, 5 week data, and data on the season for a minute now. This week each data set gets its own chart. In my evaluations I put the most emphasis on the 5 week data. All is very relevant though for providing context and spotting trends. There are some very interesting threads that run through these charts. For your convenience, I’ve also added strength of matchup so the dependency tool can be a little bit more of a one-stop shop for your Week 14 roster decisions.

+ I’ve highlighted trends that caught my attention. Red are the bad ones. Blue are the good ones. You may see similar numbers amongst different players highlighted in different colors. This difference is based on production and expectations.

++ Remember that, generally speaking, the lower the TD dependency ratio, the more likely the player is to continue producing at levels similar to his recent production (avg. points in the chart). A low ratio could also signal potential upside on the horizon.
