Buy Low

-Ray Rice, RB Baltimore Ravens: Early season injuries often bring knee-jerk reactions, and Rice’s case is no exception. Add the fact that Bernard Pierce has been nipping at his heels, and you have plenty of owners who would relish not having to anguish over the veteran back week to week. Rice will bounce back sooner or later, and will be an asset during the homestretch in fantasy leagues.

-Trent Richardson, RB Indianapolis Colts: T-Rich is about to wreck shop in Indy. It’s not like his value is really low right now, but it’s about to skyrocket. Take advantage of the fact he probably won’t play much if any his first week there and owners who are terrified of an Ahmad Bradsahw timeshare. There are 0-2 teams you can swindle Richardson from.

-Stevan Ridley, RB New England Patriots: Ridley has been the epitome of a bust this season, but it’s too early to count him out. This is a guy many were touting as a certified RB1 going into the season. He’s going to get his confidence back, and as the receivers in New England get healthier, he’s going to get more room to run. Ridley will only get better.

-David Wilson, RB New York Giants: Wilson’s situation is similar to Ridley’s. He has owners losing sleep, and prognosticators would have you believe the Giants have lost faith in him. The truth is Wilson is the Giants most talented back, and they need him to win. He has home-run potential every time he touches the ball, and he’s going to touch it a lot. Go after him if he can be had on the relative cheap.

-Torrey Smith, WR Baltimore Ravens: Smith has elicited yawns so far this season, as the Ravens offense has been pretty boring overall and he’s faced Joe Haden once. The Ravens threw more deep balls than any other team last season though, and I expect Flacco and co. to turn up the heat as the season progresses. Smith is primed for a breakout year, but he’s going to do it quietly if and when it happens. Steal him away while you can.

-Antonio Brown, WR Pittsburgh Steelers: Brown is angry about his role thus far, and we can’t blame him. He should be the focal point in an offense that is currently void of a running game, and he will be. Trade for him now — he won’t be pedestrian for long unless Todd Haley has a brain.

-Vincent Brown, WR San Diego Chargers: With Malcolm Floyd injured, you’re about to see a Brown eruption. Teams are going to have to get wise to Eddie Royal, and someone has to reap the benefits. I think that man will be Brown.

Sell High

-Ahmad Bradshaw, RB Indianapolis Colts: Bradshaw is about to lose all credibility as a startable running back in the NFL with Trent Richardson coming to town. This weekend may be his last chance to show up on the boards, so use that as a selling point (good luck with selling Bradshaw vs. the 49ers). You won’t be able to get someone to take him off of your hands after another week or two, though.

-Knowshon Moreno, RB Denver Broncos: Do you trust him? I don’t. Montee Ball is going to get better at pass protection, and he’s eventually going to see more action. You don’t want the headache of having to decide who to play, so ship Moreno while he’s ahead.

-Vincent Jackson, WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers: With trade talks in the air concerning QB Josh Freeman, Jackson’s future worries me. Freeman is no John Elway, but I cringe to think of who could be throwing Jackson the ball if he is moved. With such uncertainty, you might be best served to deal Jackson while he’s performing consistently.

-Benjarvus Green-Ellis, RB Cincinnati Bengals: The winds of change are blowing in Cincinnati, as Giovani Bernard is turning out to be touchdown vulture. He’s about to start getting more yards too. The Law Firm is going to start seeing less and less playing time as the season wears on. Ship him if you can — maybe for a David Wilson.

-Bilal Powell RB, New York Jets: Powell has been moderately productive, but fellow Jet RB Chris Ivory is starting to turn on the afterburners and should soon be the lead back in New York. Powell is just less talented and will soon be less utilized. Even if there isn’t an outright change of the guard, the Jets running game will be no less than a timeshare. Deal him away while he still holds some value.
