Trashman’s Week 5 Garbage Grab

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 5
The injury news never stops these days, but we have the cure for what ails. Come get some of this week’s grab!

Running Back
Caleb Huntley, Falcons – 14% rostered
Huntley will split time with Tyler Allgeier in the Falcons backfield, as Cordarrelle Patterson is on IR. Neither back is a spectacular play this week, with the Falcons going up against Tampa Bay, but Huntley is owned in just 14% of leagues and could end up winning the job outright. He’s worth taking a shot on, if you have the bench space.

Wide Receiver
DeVante Parker, Patriots – 29% rostered

Jakobi Meyers is on the doubtful side of questionable again this week, so it looks like another plus week for Parker. Parker, who has 180 yards and a TD over his last 2 games, faces a Lions secondary that’s the 7th best matchup for opposing WRs this week. I like him regardless of which backup QB starts this week.

Kyle Philips, Titans – 1% rostered
Treylon Burks is now on IR, so Philips’ role in the Titans offense is bound to grow. Helping his chances is the 2nd best matchup in the league for WRs, the Commanders, as his opponent this week. Philips is a speculative add, but he could pay off in PPR formats.

Josh Reynolds, Lions – 27% rostered
Reynolds(ankle) has gotten in limited sessions in back to back practices, so he likes he’ll be good to go this week. The rangy WR has over 80 yards in his last 2 games and has scored in 2 of his last 3, as Amon-Ra St.Brown and DJ Chark have been dealing with injuries. Those 2 WRs are unlikely to play this week, so Reynolds should lead the Lions in receiving for at least another week.

Tight End
Will Dissly, Seahawks – 16% rostered

Dissly isn’t getting a ton of yardage, but he’s scored in 3 of 4 games. Geno Smith loves him in the red-zone , and you should too.

Quarterback
Geno Smith, Seahawks – 32% rostered

Speaking of the devil, Smith has been on fire in 3 of his 4 games this season, scoring 20+ fantasy points in all but one game. The Saints will be one of his biggest tests thus far, but Smith needs to be owned regardless if you start him this week or not.

  1. Would you drop James Cook for Kyle Phillips in a ppr?

    1. If I was desperate and needed to start him this week…

We like Philips as a deep DFS play, but Hold Cook for now.

Oh boy, I’ve got a real trashy start/sit question:
Zappe or Mills for SF? Injuries are derailing me and am pretty much forced with these two in my dynasty league. And Neither are in the top 28 on the rankings list. I’m scared

I’m well aware of the Davis Mills road/home splits, so this adds to the dilemma. Im tempted to go with the unknown of Zappe at home vs the leagues worst defense.

    1. What about a position player instead?

    2. I’d go with Zappe. The matchup doesn’t get any better

    3. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Mills for me, Zappe is an interesting upside guy, but who is he throwing to?

  3. Sirius sucks. The show isn’t even available to download yet. Utter disrespect to the nation.

      Should be up now..no?

  4. Good morning. 1/2 PPR. Have to drop one to get a kicker (blah) J. Cook or Gainwell. Both bench depth.

    Thanks

drop Gainwell, but like him a bit today

asked in another thread but no answer yet.

0-4 10tm PPR. Given up over 700 points next closest is 573, rough luck.

    QB: Carr
RBs: Kamala, Fournette, Dobbins, Montgomery, Herbert, Robinson (IR)
WRs: Chase, Sutton, k Allen, London, JuJu, E Moore, C Samuel
    Te: Andrews

Need a W today hoping it works out:
    1) Who do you think is the better upside play London or Juju? Would you start either over Dobbins?
    2) From my squad is E Moore the one to drop to activate Robinson? Thanks guys

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Answer 1: JK Dobbins need to be in your lineup. But of the 2 still like jjss > London.

Yes on EM drop. Can you IR Allen?

      1. Post By Show Me Your TDs

unfortunately no IR is only for players actually on IR/PUP. Moore it is. Aooreciate it

    Full PPR
Need a rb and a 2 flex from the following

    Edmonds
    Mosert
    Akers
    Juju
    Doubs
    Pickens
    Garrett Wilson
    Gallup

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Mostert is getting the volume. Ride him while healthy

Flex juju and Pickens (tough matchup for GP, but he looks like preferred option for the rookie QB

  7. .5 PPR Start J. Jacobs or M. Sanders?

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Sanders is red hot. hard to bench him right now

  8. .5 PPR

    Pick two to start

    Duvernay vs Cincy (Bateman out)
Isaiah McKenzie vs Pit (if he plays)
    Zeke Elliot vs Rams
    Corey Davis vs Mia
    Josh Reynolds @ NE

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Zeke could breakout today. I like him. Duvernay would need to do it on lower volume Good luck

  9. Who to start?

    Derek Carr @ KC
    Zach Wilson vs MIA
    Jared Goff @ NE

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Carr has the matchup you want.
