The biggest mover this week, and perhaps the most permanent, Brady has joined the ranks of the retired… again. This one looks to be a bit more final, as Brady issued a heartfelt video about his decision to hang up his cleats for good on Wednesday. Brady will go down as the best football player in history, while leaving a significant vacuum at the QB position in Tampa. Currently, Blaine Gabbert is the next QB on the depth chart, but there is a minuscule chance that he starts in 2023. Tampa will look to address their need in free agency or through the draft in April. In either case, they’re on the precipice of a rebuilding stage.

Joe Mixon, Bengals
Age: 27

Mixon seems to have briefly fallen afoul of the law once again, this time allegedly threatening a woman with a firearm the day before the Bengals’ playoff matchup with the Bills. A judge dismissed the charge on Friday, but because there is a precedent for Mixon’s behavior, I don’t know that the NFL will be lenient with Mixon if he’s found to be in violation of the league’s conduct policy. A suspension could be imminent, so Mixon takes a dip in the rankings, regardless of how promising the Bengals’ franchise is these days.

Dak Prescott, Cowboys
Age: 30
Movement: Rising

Prescott threw a league high 15 interceptions this season, but he did manage to get the Cowboys their first playoff win in 5 years. Both Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones are insistent upon keeping Dak in a Cowboys uniform long term, and they plan on giving him an extension soon. Prescott will have to learn a new offense with Kellen Moore now in LA, but Dallas will likely bolster his receiving corps through the draft so he’ll continue to have plenty of weapons.
