Dynasty Rankings Updates (7/31/23): Zay Flowers, Brock Purdy, Kadarius Toney
Dynasty Rankings Update: 7/31/23
Kadarius Toney, WR Chiefs
Age: 24
Movement: Falling
Previous Rank: 83
Updated Rank: 88
It’s always something with Toney, who just underwent surgery to clear out some cartilage after tweaking his knee in camp recently. The uber talented WR could be an elite receiver in the league, if he ever stays healthy for any length of time, but that doesn’t look like the case this season as he’s questionable to start in Week 1 now.
Brock Purdy, QB 49ers
Age: 24
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 172
Updated Rank: 168
It looks more and more like Purdy will be available come the start of the 2023 season, as he’s been medically cleared for 49ers training camp. He’ll be on a pitch count to start, but 2022’s surprise star is in line to be under center for most if not all of the 2023 season. He’ll still face competition from Sam Darnold and Trey Lance, but Purdy is the proverbial wheat to the chaff in this scenario.
Zay Flowers, WR Ravens
Age: 22
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 77
Updated Rank: 53
Flowers is already conducting himself like the Ravens no.1 WR on and off the field in Baltimore to start training camp, displaying maturity and work ethic normally reserved for league veterans. With Odell Beckham over the hill and coming off a knee injury that kept him out of 2022 entirely and Rashod Bateman dealing with his own Lisfranc injury, Flowers’ path to the lead receiver role in a revamped Baltimore passing attack is currently clear of obstacles.
