2023 RosterWatch Standard Cheat Sheet v4.2 Mock Draft – Pick-by-Pick Strategy

Cody Carpentier (@CarpentierNFL) uses the RosterWatch Ultimate Draft Cheat Sheet v4.2 to go through a season-long Standard Draft for you, explaining his process and sharing how to optimally use the RosterWatch Ultimate Draft Cheat Sheet. He also accidentally drafts a team using the wrong cheat sheet, which is always fun.

  1. You guys are on fire with these updates. Keep’em coming.
    Thank you.

  2. Post By Byron Lambert

    Love it thx Mike

  3. 10 team PPR was my first draft last night. 2nd pick CeeDee was my keeper on round 2

    QB-Tua
    Rb-McCaffrey
    RB-Breece Hall
    WR-CeeDee
    WR-Olave
    F-Keenan Allen
    TE-Andrews

    Bench:
    David Montgomery
    Lockett
    Kirk
    Roschon
    Kendre Miller
    Elijah Mitchell
    Jameson Williams

Feel a little thin at RB but andrews, Keenan, Lockett, and Kirk were all sticking out way by themselves in the cheat sheet

Any thoughts or insights? I feel pretty damn good all things considered

  4. I like it overall, though it’s iffy that Hall will be ready Wk1 or maybe even Wk 2. Be prepared to roll with Montgomery or maybe Miller if he’s healthy in that 2nd rb spot.

    1. Already got him in the lineup. Hoping they ease Gibbs in and lean on Monty early while Breece is getting his legs under him. But I’m looking to move Kirk for an equivalent back if I can. He was just 10 spots above anyone else on the cheat sheet when that pick came up. I’ll deal with the RB depth as we go

  5. Dynasty trade on the table. 12 Team PPR SF TEP.

    Give: Dulcich, Charbonnet

    Get: Christian Kirk, Roschon

    QB: Herbert, Lawrence, Howell

WR: AJB, G. Wilson, London, Pittman, Dotson, Burks, Doubs, M. Wilson

RB: Walker, Etienne, White, J. Cook, Chandler, Charbonnet, Hull, McLaughlin

    TE: Dulcich, Ferguson, Kincaid, Musgrave

    1. I give your side a slight edge. Let’s hope these rookie TEs can produce as advertised…

  6. Trying to shake it up. 12 team standard

WRs: AJ Brown, C. Watson, Jahan Dotson, Bateman
    RBs: Stevenson, Barkley, Dobbins, Perine
    TE Waller

Found a guy in need, and he agreed to give me Tyreek Hill for Stevenson and Watson. Should I pass?

  7. No no no. I take that all day

  8. Hey Guys,

Thanks for all of your help. Quick question for a 12-team ppr. I’ve got pick 9. Should I keep Jalen Hurts in the 4th round or Rachaad White or Javonte Williams in the 8th round?

    1. I’d prob keep Hurts – he’s a league winner.

      1. Thanks Byron, much appreciated my man.

12 team super flex from pick 7
    Lamar / Love / stroud
    Chubb / pierce / javonte / roschon / D.Harris
Lamb / Debo / London / zay flowers / mimms
    Mark andrews

Hopefully can improve qb 2 but I feel good about the depth elsewhere.

How do y’all think I did

    1. I like what you did hitting on Lamar early and targeting a smart QB2/3 duo with upside.
      – That WR/TE room is something to smile about.. going to be tough to beat if London hits the target share we are hoping for.
      – RB is the only position I have a titch of worry and that’s due to Javonte still coming off of the injury, Roschon not having THE role yet and Damien Harris with little guarantees – but I love the Chubb/Pierce duo.

Not so worried about QB as you may be, I’d give this one a 92/100 A-

      Good work, friend!

  10. Welcome back RW. It’s time for some football 🙂 Fielding as many opinions as possible.. .
In a full PPR league, where would you guys consider taking J Taylor and Kupp?

    1. Taylor is completely a feel thing right now, I am “okay” with the risk anywhere after 6.01 in 1QB PPR formats. Anything after 7.01 is a great value.

Kupp I have seen him still go 8th overall in some real leagues, lol – I don’t love that –
      – Byron see’s Kupp around the Higgins/Gibbs area
      – Alex has him between Waddle and Devonta.
      – I would take Olave before Kupp, but not Higgins

      Hope this helps, Cheers

  11. If you want to use Fantasypros in the mock how do you get the cheat sheet picks/player order in there? Can you only do it manually?

    1. Yes, check out the first couple minutes of this video for a step-by-step process of how to utilize the Fantasy Pros Simulator WITH the Ultimate Draft Cheat Sheet – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ3Sid-m9DE&t=448s

  12. Would you use the #1 waiver pick on Deon Jackson and drop Ford my handcuff for Chubb..

    1. A reminder that Pierre Strong is in Cleveland as well, and Ford got knicked up once already.

Deon carries more value currently, obviously – so if you think you will need him in the early season, roll with it.

  13. What up y’all. Question, I’m in this cockamamie work league and the commish has weird scoring settings. It’s a non-ppr, however running and passing TDS are both only 4 points and receiving TDs are worth 6 points. Would that difference be worth using the PPR cheat sheet to move up the WRs a little? Thanks!

    1. Yeah, this is cockamamie – tell your commish to grow up… lol

But for real, yes – WR’s will get a bump due to almost an artificial 2pts Per Reception… when it’s a TD, that’s big

But also the McCaffrey, Gibbs, Kamara’s of the world will go a titch higher on the standard sheet as well.

Don’t bastardize the sheet completely, but you will need to make notes going IN, and be cognizant of trends and when your league mates are taking certain players and that will help you gauge adjustment!

      Best of Luck, brother

      1. Appreciate the feedback! Draft came out solid I think.

        QB: Tua
RBs: ekeler, stevenson, dobbins, swift, warren.
WRs: G Wilson, Olave, London, Pickens, Burks, Aiyuk
Waited at TE tho Laporta and juwan

        Best of luck everyone!

  15. I guess I should ein my league? Experts graded it an F after I followed the sheet all the way. Home standard league and some of the owners drafted pretty weird so it did not go like most mocks I had! Ended up with…
Bijan, Amon, Rhamondre, DK, Miles Sanders, David Montgomery, Rascad White, Godwin, Antonio Gibson, Zay Flowers, Roschon Johnson, Daniel Jones, Sam LaPorta, Saints D, Jake Moody.
    Thoughts?

    1. These Yahoo grades are gonna kill me this year, that team is great.

      1. Thanks for all the time on the sheet!

  16. After looking at my roster above, someone dropped Dulcich, do I pick him up or stay with LaPorta at TE. I don’t pay attention to kickers but Elliott is available and Moody appears to be questionable, any thoughts there? I have the Saints D but Broncos are available, always appreciate your thought!

    1. Keep your team as is for now

      1. Thanks Alex! Love getting Fs from Yahoo means I am doing it right!

        1. Tslate, man going to be honest here… I have drafted twice on yahoo for some friends and seen about 5-6 others post on social media with good teams… ALL received D+ or worse, don’t take those grade to heart.

Just remember, all of those grades from yahoo, and espn are directly correlated with their specifc analyst opinions.

          Keep up the great work
