Trashman’s Week 6 Garbage Grab
Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 6
It’s Week 6, but don’t let these guys be eclipsed, get it, by the numerous other waiver options at your disposal. Here’s the grab…
Running Back
Keaontay Ingram, Cardinals – 17% rostered
Ingram is set to see his first action since WK3, and while Emari Demarcado is getting a lot of hype going into this week’s tilt with the Rams, Ingram profiles as more of a 2 down back to Demarcado, who is more of a 3rd down back. It will likely be more of a split backfield with Ingram getting most of the goal line work.
Wide Receivers
Curtis Samuel, Commanders – 33% rostered
Samuel has been a solid contributor this season, serving as a consistent underneath option for the often beleaguered Sam Howell. Coming off a season best 6/65/1 line in WK5, He’ll once again serve as a sure handed midrange target in the slot against a Falcons secondary that covers outside WRs well.
Josh Downs, Colts – 33% rostered
Downs’ significant target share, he’s had 5+ in 4 of 5 contests this season, is starting to pay off in yardage. In WK5 he had 97 yards on 6 catches, and Gardner Minshew, this week’s starter, likes him as much or more than Anthony Richardson. Downs stands to rack up receptions against a middling Jags defense this week.
Jonathan Mingo, Panthers – 8% rostered
Carolina will need all the firepower it can get against Miami this week, including the talented rookie Mingo who is averaging over 6 targets a game. The game script will likely evolve into comeback mode, with Bryce Young taking as many shots downfield as possible, especially since Miles Sanders will be absent.
Tight End
Tyler Conklin, Jets – 9% rostered
Conklin has had at least 5 targets his last 4 games and at least 50 yards in 4 of his last 3. On the heels of a season best 67 yards against Denver, Conklin will face an Eagles team this week that is almost as easy on TEs. He’s a solid safety blanket streamer if nothing else.
Quarterback
Gardner Minshew, Panthers – 8% rostered
MInshew has been more of a game manager in the starts he’s had this season, but with Jonathan Taylor back in action and a Jags defense that’s a top 10 matchup for opposing QBs, he’ll have his best shot yet this season at putting up a big fantasy line.
