Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers

Age: 29

Movement: Rising

After a surprisingly fruitful season with the Bucs, in which he led the team to the Divisional round of the playoffs, Mayfield is being viewed as a long term answer at QB by Tampa. By today’s QB standards, 29 is relatively young, so Mayfield could have another decade of football in front of him. With a talented set of pass-catchers, and a capable defense on the other side of the ball, Mayfield is being set up to succeed in fantasy and otherwise.

 

Gabe Davis, Bills

Age: 25

Movement: Falling

If nothing else, Davis has been wildly inconsistent over his last 2 seasons, posting an impressive 16.7 YPR but never amassing more than 840 yards in a season – You’ve been just as likely to get a 2 point game as a 20 pointer in most weeks from Davis. Heading towards free agency, it’s unlikely that Buffalo re-signs Davis, leaving him to find a home elsewhere. Still young at 25, Davis won’t find it hard to land on another team. There are few other squads that rival the offensive prowess of the Bills though, and Davis doesn’t appear to be no.1 WR stock.

 

Kyle Pitts, Falcons

Age: 24

Movement: Rising

Pitts has had an underwhelming last 2 years in the league, after eclipsing 1,000 yards his rookie season. Underutilized in Arthur Smith’s offense, and stymied by a knee injury in 2022 that still lingered in 2023, Pitts gets a new lease on fantasy life in new OC Zac Robinson’s new offense. Robinson views him as a player that can play all over the field, and it would be surprising if the Falcons don’t get more out of Pitts this season. It usually takes a few years for a TE to find his legs in the NFL anyway, so perhaps it’s the perfect storm for the startlingly athletic big man.
