RosterWatch Week 8 Matchup Tool Now Available

Welcome back.
This is a proprietary weekly tool provided by RosterWatch for our PRO community.
It is designed to be a decision-making tool for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face. If you are new to this, our time-tested and most popular flagship in-season tool, the instructions for use couldn’t be simpler, and can be found below.
DO NOT RELY ON “FANTASY POINTS AGAINST” as your primary indicator for player matchups ever again. It is not an all-encompassing metric, as you’ll see, which will cause you heartache and struggle.
The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only traditional “fantasy points against” metrics (schedule-adjusted after 4 weeks of play), but also (and most importantly) weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive-unit scouting grades for members of the 2025 unit that will be run-stopping, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question, along with other analytic trends including projected game-script, game-flow/pace, sportsbook indicators, volume of total projected snaps and much, much, more.
…
INSTRUCTIONS:
To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.
Let’s say you roster Broncos QB Bo Nix and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.
First, look down the list and find the Broncos (Nix’s team). You will see that the Broncos’ opponent (OPP) is the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8, and there are four color-coded cells in the horizontal columns marked “OPP vs. QBs,” “OPP vs. RBs,” “OPP vs. WRs” and “OPP vs. TEs.”
These are the OPPONENT’S (in this case the COWBOYS’) OFFICIAL ROSTERWATCH MATCHUP RANKINGS AGAINST THESE GIVEN POSITIONS.
They are not the rankings for the BRONCOS, but rather, for the OPPONENT THEY FACE IN THIS GIVEN WEEK (the THE COWBOYS). In the “OPP vs. QBs” cell for the Broncos, you’ll notice a big, blue ‘No. 1’. This means that Nix faces our best possible matchup for opposing QBs in Week 8 (the Cowboys). This is a great indicator for fantasy managers of Nix. It is also a positive one for those thinking of rostering him in DFS contests.
Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to break ties with closely ranked players regarding who to start and who to sit in season-long leagues. Also use it to identify which upside-plays to roster in DFS contests based on matchup.
With the launch of the online tool, you can now sort by any column: Vegas line, over/under, and matchup ranks vs. each position for easy reference. The Vegas lines are updated hourly for your reference and research. Please note that matchup ratings can change slightly through the week as lines and totals shift, or as injuries to key defensive personnel occur.
1 is the best (easiest) matchup, 32 is the worst (toughest).

drop Q — I need to pick up a QB this week and my drop choice is Jamison Williams We start 3 in .5PPR – london, sutton, mcmillan, mclauren and Jennings – Do you agree that Jamison is the one to go?
Think he would be the one I let go.
Hey boys,
Sorry dynasty question. 12 team, half point PPR. Start 10. Would you move BTJ for two 26 firsts?Firsts are probably middle pack as of right now
I would do that.
10-team, .5ppr.
Is Judkins a sell high or a hold? Trying to upgrade at RB
Judkins and Tetairoa for Saquon?
It’s a little risky, but I love it as a consolidation trade, classic type of move. How often is QJ gonna have winning game scripts? It’s time for PHI to turn things on.
As just a PPR crapshoot, is Harvey droppable for Brashard Smith? Im solid at RB and just looking for a potential breakout candidate.
I think I’d hold onto Harvey thru the DAL game, it’s been a real get-right spot for everyone.
Dynasty trade question.
My team is in a rebuild and was offered the 2026 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and Tyjae Spears for Ladd McConkey. My RB’s are pretty thin and at WR I would still have Rashee Rice, Jameson Williams, Aiyuk, Tez Johnson, Jayden Reed, and Jakobi Myers, and Quentin Johnston.
The picks would most likely be mid to late in each round.
What do you think?
It’s an even trade for the most part. If you’re already cooked for this season, I think it would be fine to take it.
RW Nation! I’m in a bit of a pickle in a chopped league. Half my team (literally) is on a bye and most of the league is conspiring against me. I’ve received a couple of trades tho:
QB: Baker
RB: Jeanty (bye), Walker (bye), Swift, Henderson
WR: JSN (bye), Pittman, Worthy
TE: McBride (bye), Ferguson
Just dropped Godwin so I’ve got a free spot. Here are the trades:
1. Jeanty – Stevenson & Johnston
2. JSN & McBride – Collins, Deebo & Mason
What do we think?
2nd trade just turned into JSN & McBride – Nico & Mason/Deebo
Is a chopped league a guillotine league?
Should I make the following trade in a PPR redraft league? Obviously I take a hit at RB, but would have a dominant WR corps.
J. K. Dobbins and Cade Otton for Drake London and Zach Ertz
Start:
QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, W/R/T, W/R/T
My current roster is:
Dak Prescott
Jaxson Dart
Jonathan Taylor
J. K. Dobbins
Jacory Croskey-Merritt
Woody Marks
Treveyon Henderson
Tyjae Spears
Ja’Marr Chase
Davante Adams
Brian Thomas Jr.
Xavier Worthy
Tetairoa McMillan
Tez Johnson
Mason Taylor
Cade Otton
Thanks!
