Trashman’s Week 7 Garbage Grab
Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 7
Chances are you’re a man down going into the Week 7 melee. Choose your fighter…
Running Back
Jonah Coleman, Broncos – 33% rostered
Coleman is questionable coming into WK7, after being on IR since WK2, when he injured his ankle. The Denver backfield is crowded by most means, but no one else there has done anything of note to take the lead back job. Coleman is well positioned to take the role and run with it.
Bam Knight, Cardinals – 18% rostered
Tyler Allgeier is the 1A this week but in name only. Last week, Knight outplayed Allgeier, putting up 98 yards on 17 touches to Allgeier’s 48 yards on 19 touches and is averaging 6.3 YPC. This week, Jeremiyah Love(ankle) will sit again, leaving another golden opportunity for Knight to lead the way.
Wide Receivers
Konata Mumpfield, Rams – 9% rostered
Davante Adams is out and Puka Nacua is questionable going into WK7 against the Raiders, putting Mumpfield in a prime spot to rack up targets against a middling Vegas secondary. LA has TEs and RBs who can catch the ball, so it’s not a sure thing, but Mumpfield has the best shot of Rams WRs to produce for you this week.
Caleb Douglas, Dolphins – 9% rostered
Douglas is back after missing 3 games, and he’s set to retake his role as the no1. WR in Miami. Chris Bell will have something to say about that, but Douglas is good enough and the Dolphins are bad enough to get both players involved from the get-go.
Jordan Watkins, 49ers – 1% rostered
The 49ers are down to bare bones at WR, though Christian Kirk could return this week, and Watkins looks like the best candidate to lead the WR corps against a top 10 WR matchup Falcons squad. If Purdy is the consensus no.1 QB this week, it only makes sense to grab a piece of that offense where you can.
Tight End
Colby Parkinson, Rams – 2% rostered
The Rams are short their 2nd best pass-catcher and potentially their 1st as well this week, so Stafford is going to have to rely in part on his big TEs. Parkinson is a capable option here, and he’s coming off a 5 catch, 1 TD WK6.
Quarterback
Geno Smith, Jets – 17% rostered
Smith is and has been mostly a game manager throughout his career, but he’s been useful in spots, and this looks like one of them. Smith will have his full complement of WRs for the first time in awhile to face a Miami defense that hasn’t been able to stop anyone through the air. Smith’s floor is rock solid this week.
