WHO is he?
-Miami Dolphins 2nd Round 2011 Draft pick. Running Back from Kansas State.
-Physical, 230-pound between-the-tackles runner.
-Played 2 years as a JUCO QB before transferring to K State.
WHAT you should know….
-Has spoken about himself in the third-person during interviews. Indicator of future fantasy gold.
-Is a perfect fit for any remnants left of the Wildcat in Miami as a former QB.
-With the departure of Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown, Miami (a team that handed the ball off just under 360 times last year) needs an every down contributor at running back. Thomas fits the bill and sure as hell passes the eyeball test.
-Miami’s addition of Reggie Bush (a proven failure as a feature back) indicates they are comfortable with Thomas getting a real shot to handle 1st and 2nd Down duties, and naturally leave such a big body in at the goal line. He has also been impressive making catches passes out of the backfield.
WHEN you should draft him….
-He represents value in the late 6th/early 7th rounds of traditional 12- team redraft leagues as an RB3 with upside that could yield high-end RB2 production.
