Garbage Grab: Week 10

Garbage Grab: Week 10

Dorian “The Trashman” Colbert, RosterWatch.com

It’s week ten and the pickin’s are slim. Fortunately you’ve been paying attention to the Garbage Grab over the weeks, and you have a nice little stable of waiver wire studs, right? Ok, for you slackers, here are a handful of fantasy free agents who might help you in your time of need. I didn’t include receivers Vincent Brown of the Chargers or Earl Bennett of the Bears, because you should have already scooped them up.

Donald Brown RB Colts: I mentioned Brown in the previous Garbage Grab, and he notched 78 yards that weekend, but he’s still only owned in 9% of leagues. With Joseph Addai most likely sitting this Sunday, Brown could be a solid play again against the Jags. The Jags have a top ten defense, but inter-division match-ups tend to throw rankings out the window.

Ronnie Brown RB Eagles: Keeping it in the family we have Ronnie Brown, owned in 5% of leagues. No he’s not really related to Donald, but their fantasy stats may end up looking similar as in seven points or so. Chances are Ronnie’s come in the way of a touchdown though, as we saw him vulture a goal line score from LeSean McCoy on Monday. If the Eagles run away with it against the lowly Cardinals, he could get some yards to add to that.

Jason Hill WR Jaguars: Jason Hill is arguably the best receiver on his team. This team is the offensively challenged Jaguars, but he is still their most explosive receiver and he’s only owned in 6% of leagues. Hopefully the Jags come out of their bye with some new ways to get him the ball.

Leonard Hankerson WR Redskins: The ‘Skins staff is impressed by this promising product from the “U”. Enough so, to have him start opposite Jabar Gaffney again this week after a four catch game. With QB John Beck at the helm, Washington’s offense is pretty anemic, but one big play could make Hankerson worth the pickup.

Jeremy Kerley WR Jets: Every time I click over to the Jets, I catch a glimpse of this Kerley fellow, and he seems to be building quite the rapport with QB Mark Sanchez with 5 targets in week nine. Locked in as the third receiver in New York with Derrick Mason gone, Kerley is a rookie who could end up making an impact.

Dennis Pitta TE Ravens: Watch your back Ed Dickson because Dennis Pitta wants your job. A pivotal player in the Ravens offense for two straight weeks and 8 targets last week, it could be Pitta who ends up being the go to tight end for Joe Flacco.

Matt Moore QB Dolphins: Moore had a top three QB fantasy score last week on the way to picking up Miami’s first win. Look for him to continue to be fairly productive against a reeling Washington team that doesn’t seem to be able to stop anyone recently.
