PRO: RosterWatch Week 10 Matchup Tool

alex bylineWelcome back. This is a proprietary weekly tool provided by RosterWatch.

It is designed to be a decision-making tool for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face. If you are new to this, our time-tested, most popular tool, the instructions couldn’t be simpler, and can be found below.

RW PRO users can download the matchup tool in the downloads section of their profile by clicking HERE.

INSTRUCTIONS:

To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.

Let’s say you own Jaguars WR Allen Robinson, and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.

First, look at the Jaguars’ matchup for the week, and see what the number is inside the “vs. WRs” cell for the Jaguars’ OPPONENT.

(Robinson is a WR and you would like to know his opponent’s rank vs. that position.)

As you will see, the Jaguars are playing the Ravens, who have a big, blue ‘No. 1’ in their “vs. WRs” cell. This is a great indicator for owners of Robinson and also Allen Hurns (if Hurns is available to play Week 10).

Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to decide which players to start and sit in season-long leagues and which upside-plays to roster in DFS contests based on matchup.

“1″ is the best matchup, “32″ is the worst.

COLOR-CODES
(you like blue matchups best)

BLUE: Best Matchups
LIGHT BLUE: Borderline Top Matchups
LIGHT RED: Borderline Bottom Matchups
RED: Worst Matchups

The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only standard “fantasy points against” metrics from 2015, but also weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive unit scouting grades for members of the 2015 unit that will be defending, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question.

  1. Should I trade Eli Manning for Jeremy Maclin? 1 ppr my team looks like:

    QB: Palmer, Eli
WR: Cobb, Lafell, Hurns, Watkins, Decker
RB: Gio, Jeremy Hill, Matt Jones, Andrews, and Langford
    TE: Barnidge and Reed
My plan is to get Maclin and maybe try to flip him and a RB for a better RB. Thanks guys!!!

    1. Yes- getting anything of reasonable value for your backup QB is a nice move. As you mention, though- you must make this move with an eye on making another move to clearly and significantly upgrade your starting lineup in a subsequent trade where you offer like a 2 for 1. RB is your biggest area of need- but if we had the opportunity to get any elite RB/WR/TE we would strongly consider it.

      1. Thanks Byron!!! Great show yesterday! Not sure when you guys started airing on Tuesdays but i got you guys penciled in for the rest of the season! Looking forward to an extra couple hours of radio gold!!!

  2. Hey guys. Couple questions. First, Need a rb and flex. PPR
    Blount
    Starks
    Aiken

Second, need a rb and flex. PPR
    West
    Andrews
    Anderson
    DJax

    Thanks guys

  3. Guys, where on the website can I view all of the comments? I would like to read your recommendations to others and avoid repeating a question to you that you may have already answered. I know that there is the comments button on the right, but that only shows three/four comments.

Is there a discussion board that I haven’t found on the site? Thx

  4. Two questions for a standard 12-team dynasty league:

    1) Got Rivers on a bye, and need to drop someone for a Cousins spot start. Who do I drop from my bench from this group: David Johnson, Perriman or Agholor

    2) What two RBs do you start from this group this week: McCoy, D. Martin, K. Willians, C. Sims, David Johnson

  5. Start Sit questions-

rbs- Lamar Miller, K. Williams, J. Hill, R. Mathews, C. Anderson, or Matt Jones Pick 2
wrs- Evans, Diggs, Cooks, Lafell, Pick 2

Who would you make your flex?

  6. I currently have Bortles and Big Ben. Someone just dropped Carr. Thinking about picking him up for Big Ben. Good idea?

  7. Need some help, pick 1 standard league. Brandin Cooks, or Stefon Diggs. Thanks

  8. Trade question, 14 team, .5 PPR. Floundering in my RBs right now, don’t think I could even make this work before this weekend, so it might be a rest of the season question. Thanks

    Trade Eli for Chris Johnson?

    My team:
    QB Dalton (E Manning)
WR Julio Jones, E Sanders, E Decker, James Jones
RB D Freeman, CJ Spiller, M Forte, B Bolden, T Coleman
    TE Z Ertz

    1. Might be able to push them for D Martin, and if I get on it today, think it will be usable for this weeks lineup.
