PRO: RosterWatch Week 12 Matchup Tool

alex bylineWelcome back. This is a proprietary weekly tool provided by RosterWatch.

It is designed to be a decision-making tool for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face. If you are new to this, our time-tested, most popular tool, the instructions couldn’t be simpler, and can be found below.

RW PRO users can download the matchup tool in the downloads section of their profile by clicking HERE.

INSTRUCTIONS:

To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.

Let’s say you own Texans WR Deandre Hopkins, and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.

First, look at the Texans’ matchup for the week, and see what the number is inside the “vs. WRs” cell for the Texans’ OPPONENT.

(Hopkins is a WR and you would like to know his opponent’s rank vs. that position.)

As you will see, the Texans are playing the Saints, who have a big, blue ‘No. 1’ in their “vs. WRs” cell. This is a great indicator for Hopkins in Week 12.

Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to decide which players to start and sit in season-long leagues and which upside-plays to roster in DFS contests based on matchup.

“1″ is the best matchup, “32″ is the worst.

COLOR-CODES
(you like blue matchups best)

BLUE: Best Matchups
LIGHT BLUE: Borderline Top Matchups
LIGHT RED: Borderline Bottom Matchups
RED: Worst Matchups

The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only standard “fantasy points against” metrics from 2015, but also weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive unit scouting grades for members of the 2015 unit that will be defending, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question.

  1. 1 ppr, I need 3: Brandon Lafell, Jeremy Maclin, Sammy Watkins, Allen Hurns, Eric Decker.

Also, with Mccown back under center would you go Barnidge or Reed? Assuming Reed plays since he is currently off the injury report.

Thanks a ton guys!!! Just clinched last week and ALL thanks goes to you guys!!!

  2. Guys I need your advice. 1/2 pt PPR and I need one – Diggs, Lafell, or Funchess at WR? Thx

  3. Stafford or Big Ben?

  4. Playing the gravy game I won $118 bucks, and if I had picked Lacy instead of Murray and Cobb instead of dez I would have won by 4 points!!!! Fricken Cowboys!!!! How do dez and Murray only combine for 7 points????
Oh well I’m winning thanks again guys!

  5. 12 Team Standard (Record: 8-3; 1st in standings and points)

    [1] QB: Bortles
[2] WR: A. Brown, Hopkins (Watkins, Hurns)
[2] RB: Forte, D. Martin (Gore, Duke Johnson, Draughn)
    [1] TE: Olsen
    [1] FLEX: J. Allen

Should I drop Bortles to pick up and play Hoyer this week or maybe drop Draughn or Johnson instead? Or just stick with Bortles? Thinking about playoffs and ROS …

QBs in FA include Stafford, Cutler, Winston, Cousins, Taylor, Bridgewater, etc.
