RosterWatch Week 8 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

I thought the Zoo Animals knew when they got fed? Are they on hunger strike, or is it breeding season?

  2. Montgomery?

How are we valuing him, ESPN gave RB eligibility.

Do we see his role regress? Expand?

    1. WWCS is players with sub 50% ownership – Ty around an average of 60%. He’d be at the top of the sheet. Given the situation and especially the dual eligibility on ESPN he’s a guy you have to make a serious run at if you have funds left available.

  3. +1 on Montgomery. What is his value as he’s going to be a hot WW commodity where he is not already owned.

  4. yo it’s your favorite zoo animal!

    12 Team Standard (Record: 3-4)

    [1] QB: Rivers
[2] WR: Hopkins, Cooper (D. Jackson, M. Thomas)
[2] RB: Miller, Howard (Ajayi, Henry)
    [1] TE: Rudolph (Eifert)
    [1] W/R/T: K. Benjamin
    Bench total: (5)

just lost two weeks in a row and instead of grabbing my opponent’s peanuts, cooper and nuk kicked me in mine! is it time to blow this team up and/or try trading for another RB? owning both miller and nuk seems to be hurting me thanks to brock

RBs are hard to come by in this league but a 6-0 team with c-mike, j-stew, mccoy, gillislee, crowell, riddick, and rawls is offering me crowell for my benjamin? not sure that trade makes my team that much better but i feel like RB is my weakness here?

or should i try trading nuk, cooper or benjamin for another team’s demarco murray? not sure he’ll bite because he only has murray, freeman, and gurley (on bye) and i’m pretty sure he has no interest in d. henry?

last question is regarding add/drops: not sure if i should be dropping anyone for any of asiata, adams, thompson or carey? considering my WRs i feel like djax is probably my most expendable? since I’m still waiting for my eifert and henry lotto tickets to hit!? i’m also reluctant to start rivers @den this week but don’t have the roster space to pick up and start dak, fitz or even tyrod instead?

    1. Don’t blow up the team, much better times ahead for a few of these guys.

  5. Should I hold Coates? I’m gonna drop D. Lewis where I need the help…

    1. I’m fine dropping Coates you can probably get him back off the WW in a week if you want.

  6. I am desperate for an rb this week
    Barber or Gillislee

    1. Will have a better feel for this later in the week but for now feel like MG is probably the more prudent pickup.

  7. The WWCS is my tuesday crack.

#3 waiver priority in a 12 team .5pr / .5 rush 1st down deep keeper league. Our wire is looking like the night club in total recall, 3 breasted women and all. Best options are D Adams, LaFell and Carey. I could grab Alfred Blue to cuff lamar, but he’ll be probably be there after the waiver run. Which of these guys if any are worth my #3 pick? (#s 1 & 2 have slipped into a coma so they may not.even do anything.) My roster is:
RB: DMurray, Lamar, Crow, Duke, DeAndre W.
WR: evans, dez, twill, t benjamin, coates

Finally, should I trade in Julius T for CJ Fee-ya-door-o-witz?

    Thanks fellas…luv the nation

    1. I think Byron and Trashman would both say D Adams is with the priority.

    2. *worth* the priority.

  8. Dropping McKinon for Thompson? Crazy? PPR

  9. Trade question (10-team standard): my DFreeman + TColeman for his SWare + CJAnderson? My other RBs are McCoy, Gillislee, Quizz Rodgers, Booker, & Rawls

  10. Enunwa or Hogan this week?

  11. Need 1, D Booker, C Ivory, J Howard

  12. If Corey Coleman is available, is it time to start picking him up again?

  13. Same question for Rawls as well (I have C Mike)

  14. I want to drop T. Benjamin for Patterson is that cool?

    1. aye, benjamin is on the down swing, but patterson is an uncertainty. i’d only do it if you’re set otherwise.

Trashy move (Mostly on Yahoo) Pick up Henry if you have the same space for Thursday’s game in the event of a DeMarco injury. Drop him afterwards if DeMarco is alright. Can be done on Yahoo but I believe ESPN locks up players on your bench that have already played. A bit of a shark move but why not.

Ok this is eaglesfan3535 from twitter, and since this was too much to put in twitter and byron/alex confused coleman, errr I forgot to clarify Tevin or Corey.

My rb’s are: gurley, bell, henry, thompson, dwill, booker, and howard
WR’s are: marshall, maclin, landry, crowder

I feel I have alot of rb depth now with booker as a starter it seems with anderson injury. I feel I need more wr depth possibly. We start 2rb/2wr/flex. I typically like a rb in my flex.

Bibbs, who is the backup to booker of course is available, but so is Corey Coleman. I know RWNation loves corey coleman, so who should I pick up both or just one and if so who should I cut?

Trashman you gave me some trashy calls last week on the radio from my twitter ?’s and I scored 197pts, so I am sure I will get some wisdom here.

    1. henry is cuttable as you are not a murray owner. i might try to trade thompson and or howard while they still have considerable value as well. i’d get bibbs and coleman.

trading is like pulling teeth at times in this league. a guy has evans I want at wr but he wants gurely and we can’t seem to work something out. Plus I think you guys told me no on gurley on facebook and twitter.

Marquise Lee is also available that I had some interest in.

  17. just lost CJ Anderson — don’t have BOOKER….someone drafted him<> would u pick up D. Lewis, P. Perkins, or R. Kelly for rest of season 14 team PPR <> .3pts per rush attempt

You guys seem to forget to put a few key players on the Waiver wire cheat sheet every week… this week, looks like you forgot West and Ward (two players specifically talked about in the fantasy fallout)

Also no Paul Perkins or JJ Nelson?

  19. Is there a reason West does not appear on journey waiver cheat sheet?
