Here Byron Lambert of RosterWatch shares his scouting notes from select Andre Ellington Game Film:

Andre Ellington 5’9″ 190:

– 2012 vs. Auburn – Not sure he has quite the same speed as CJ2k – BUT very nifty—quick, fast, game changer, shows great forward lean, good power, great balance, big play ability, great in screen game, can work through traffic at LOS.

– 2012 vs. FSU- stuffed early, breaks huge screen pass, good moves, balance, hard to take down, forward lean to finish in red zone, liking him around a Jahvid Best/David Wilson-maybe Cj2K (all late 1st rd guys probably because of size concerns) He’s a workhorse like Johnson, but probably better suited as a thunder lightning combo like Best. That said, we’ve seen in 2012 that Wilson (who seems best as a thunder lightning committee member) is looking like he could eventually be a feature back. Clemson uses him as feature workhorse – I think you can draft Ellington as one but probably not a CJ2k or C.J. Spiller BUT still very sick.

– 2010 vs GA Tech – Flashes same qualities in 2010 as a youngster.

– 2011 vs VA Tech – Balance. Doesnt go down easy, leg drive, good cuts, feet, acceleration – falls forward, good vision, runs middle and outside (Need to look at lower body mass vs Wilson, CJ2K, Spiller, an Best at Combine weigh-in)
