Recently, Chiefs GM John Dorsey called me “a man of caliber.” Head Coach Andy Reid was either buying a toiletry, or some kind of Reese’s type Egg in a purple-ish wrapper. He looked happy and refreshed. It’s a regime we respect.

They are currently right up against 2014 salary cap projections. Rightfully so, it’s a roster full of good players on both sides of the ball.

He are the fantasy relevant players who are either, free-agents or possible cuts / restructures-

Free Agents:

Dexter McCluster (RB/WR)- UFA

** Other notable, Non-Fantasy relevant, players who are free agents include- Branden Albert LT, Tyson Jackson DE. CB Dunta Robinson was let go on February 7th.

Potential Cuts or Restructures:

Donnie Avery (WR)- He counts almost $3M against the cap, which is too much for almost any Alex Smith receiver (until you puke when you see Dwayne Bowe’s $12M figure.) The Chiefs could save $1.35M by cutting Avery.

Anthony Fasano (TE)- Anytime you can save $1M by cutting a player with 23 receptions for 200 yards, you think long and hard about it.

** RB’s Joe McKnight and/or Cyrus Gray may be expendable with the emergence of Knile Davis. Cutting either will save the Chiefs $600K.

** Other notable, non-fantasy related, potential restructures include- Tamba Hali DE/OLB ($11.5M), Eric Berry S ($11.5M), Brandon Flowers CB ($10M).
