2016 RosterWatch Draft Cheat Sheet (PPR) Updated to v4.0

RosterWatch Nation, we’ve had a few relatively significant updates to the cheat sheets in v4.0 with intelligence gained from training camps and the beginning of preseason action. As things are coming more into focus, the makeup of the sheet and its construction is getting tighter and tighter with every update as always.

Please make sure for any upcoming drafts that you are using the most updated version of the sheet. PRO members can access the sheet in their downloads section or by clicking here.

    JUST A HEADS UP BEFORE COMMENTS GET STARTED ON THIS ONE: The only rule we have in the comments section is to not give away the secrets of the cheat sheet to non-PRO members. For that reason, we ask that you do not list full teams you’ve drafted or mocked, etc. here to give all the idiots we’ll draft against any clues. Other than that, you can do whatever you want. Just DO NOT BASTARDIZE the cheat sheet, and giving away its secrets is a form of bastardization.

    My team is already strong at RB and WR. TE is a question mark but some good players will be available in the draft.

    Will the draft cheat sheet be upgraded after the games next Friday as well or after this week will it be done? Only ask as my big boy league drafts on the 3rd. On another note in the first two rounds if it ends up being RBs both being he highest ranked at your turn you should just go for it and load up on wide receivers mid to late?

      Yes, there is actually an update coming out this afternoon/tonight. We’ll have frequent updates through the preseason all the way up until kickoff. As for the strategy of loading up on WR in the mid rounds, we’d say our best advice is to follow the rules of the cheat sheet. There are three of them in total. Thanks again.

    Alex – my PPR league awards 6 points to QB pass TDs. How does that impact your cheat sheet?

      I don’t think that it should impact it that much, but obviously the more mobile QBs lose a little step or two since they don’t dominate the 6 point TD field. I wouldn’t change things up too much if it were me

    I’m heavy on mid-round, mediocre RBs: Crowell, Blount, Powell, Foster — my starters are Doug Martin and Rawls. Should I drop one of these crap RBs to go after Chris Hogan or Tajae Sharp? My starting WRs are OBJ and Alshon. Full point PPR.

      that’s one approach, in which case i’d probably drop powell for sharpe. i like powell, but we don’t know what his usage will be like and he probably won’t be the goal line back.

      in a lot of drafts he’s dropping as far as the third round. I’m staying away from all cowboys not named elliott right now.

      What is there to explain? The Black Anaconda is a serpent of mythylogical proportions, who unfurls to asphyxiate his opponents deep into the 4th qtr. Did you need to see more than those 2 targets on Fri night?

    Why don’t the player ranking’s correspond to the draft guide? Seems like some of the higher ranked player’s are in later tiers for drafting. Used the guide for my draft tonight killed it though. Thanks!

      the cheat sheet isn’t a ranking sheet so much as an indicator of where players are being drafted across leagues, among other factors. We may value some players more than others, but realize that they can be had later in drafts generally.

      I leave those trashy players to the trashman, I don’t want anything to do with Tyler Gaffney when there are other players I could be stashing. If roster limits weren’t a thing, it would be different. Lots of guys like him I wouldn’t mind stashing just can’t justify it given the other options at the end of all my rosters.

    I am finding that RW cheatsheet teams look better the earlier you draft – the closer to the start of the season – the less values you can have on your rosters.

    My guess as to why is that the rest of the field of analysts are just catching on in late August, when RW had scouted these players accurately TO BEGIN WITH back in OTAs and the combine !
    IE Henry, I remember these guys raving about him in the spring, meanwhile almost everyone else was pegging him as a Brandon Jacobs.

      BVIC – we were ahead of the curve on a lot of these guys, but there is still value to be had and great teams to be drafted, there are a lot of donkeys out there.

    I have the #2 pick in a full point ppr… I’m taking Julio at #2 and was wondering if it would be an issue taking devonta at pick 19 in the second round of I can get him. Is it a bad idea to take two position players with my first 2 picks overall from the same team? Thanks guys!

      I like Hogan. His fantasy value has always been spotty, but he could carve a role in New England, although an inconsistent one. He’ll probably be behind Edelman, Gronk, and Bennett in the pecking order for targets.
