Scouting Notes:
After entering the 2024 season as the clear-cut consensus Wide Receiver no. 1 in the 2025 NFL Draft Class, “Tet” McMillan showed consistency with 108 yards per game over the last two seasons. Hailing from Servite HS in Anaheim, California, the famous home of the Kalil brothers (Ryan and Matt), McMillan was the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2022 recruiting class, right behind Luther Burden (Missouri). As a prospect, Tetairoia McMillan has elite length that immediately jumps off of the screen like a Drake London or Christian Watson. While he lacks long speed like Christian Watson and super high-end ‘x’ prototype ball skills like London or Mike Evans, McMillan isn’t far off. In 2024, McMillan suffered from the drops at time, finishing with 3 more in one season than he had combined over the first two seasons of his career at Arizona (5). Too many of Tet’s routes are slow-developing crossers and slants that eventually evolve if he is targeted, often times his quarterback did miss seeing him wide open. His two best routes are the shallow to deep crosser and the stutter-go down the sideline, allowing him an opportunity at a contested catch. During the last two seasons, Tet received 65 contested targets with 36 completions, his ball skills are apparent but not elite. His route running leaves a bit to be desired, but the pure talent vibrates off of the film and for a superstar at the college level, it’s nice to see McMillan work his craft, especially in the run game to place himself in the right spot to make important blocks in the run game. McMillan will be a Top 5 pick in dynasty rookie drafts, across basically all formats, barring unforeseen circumstances/disastrous testing through the NFL draft process. One of 2025’s truly high-end receiver assets.
