Pros

• Has a real nose for the end-zone. He scored 19 TDs over his last 2 seasons at Baylor.
• Impressive contact balance. At 220 lbs, and built like a cannonball, he deflects defenders with relative ease.
• Consistently wins at the catch point, as he’s able to box out defenders with his imposing frame – 59.3% contested catch rate. 
• Sure handed. 7 drops on 261 career targets.
• Electric kick-returner. Had a 20.7 yard punt return average in 2024. 
• Started from the bottom but has developed into an NFL-caliber WR. Was a 0-star recruit out of high school who became a team captain, Baylor’s top WR and two-time All Big 12 WR his last 2 seasons.
• Extremely versatile and creative for a big body. Can play Z WR or the slot and excels at intermediate routes.
• One of the best blocking WRs in this class.

Cons

• Late Start. Didn’t post meaningful production until his last 2 seasons. 
• Lacks breakaway speed. He’s projected to run a 40 in the 4.6 range.
• Trouble gaining separation from fast corners and his release package is easily discerned.
• Isn’t very explosive off the line

Fantasy Outlook: 

Not a prototypical receiver in a classic sense, Cameron has shown the ability to assume the role of No.1 WR with considerable success. That said, his success in the NFL will largely rely on what type of offense he lands on, as he’ll need to be somewhere he can play to his strengths as a physical, underneath WR who is schemed for in the red-zone. We’ve seen success stories for players of his ilk, such as Deebo Samuels, but Samuels had a 4.48 forty, whereas Cameron is projected to be in the 4.60’s. For that reason, Samuels is more of a flyer with upside than a sure thing.
