Highlight/Film – (Mike Washington #4)

Cody’s Scouting Notes:

Mike Washington Jr became the 16th player in Arkansas program history with a 1,000-yard rushing season, the first since Raheim Sanders in 2022. Washington was a three-star prospect according to ESPN and Rivals while Attending Cicero-North Syracuse High School in Cicero, N.Y.

Bruising tail-back that would benefit from a physical Training Camp (ie. Mike Tomlin-type), which allows him to level up as a contact enforcer. Washington creates mostly through power, while possessing fluidity in the between-the-tackles through his vision and ability to go from battering ram to tap dancer in cut-back lanes. The first player I see while watching Washington is hands down Latavius Murray coming out of Central Florida. Murray ran a diabolical 4.38 forty at 223 lbs at the Central Florida pro day. Washington ran faster. After seeing him live and in-person at the Senior Bowl, we came away very impressed and landed on a play-style comp more in the mold of Clinton Portis.

Alex’s Scouting Notes:

  • Bruising inside boulder or a runner with the lateral agility and quicks to negotiate tight spaces to create unblocked yards while also being a significant value-add as a receiver out of the backfield
  • Terrific body composition and BMI; plays with good pad level and leg drive due to sturdy, anvil-like upper body and hulking lower-body power base – dense
  • Great vision and balance stacked with quick decision-making lead to quick and intentional one-cut-and-go style on zone runs
  • Not an absolute burner, but certainly a size/speed weapon who could end up with a Quinshon Judkins-like speed score; he can’t pull away from every defender in the open field, but he can pull away from a lot of them
  • Lightning quick acceleration to second and third levels of the defense
  • 24th among 279 CFP qualifiers in yards per attempt during 2025 (6.4)
  • Natural receiver of the football; long 34-plus inch arms allow him to frame the football upfield and position himself to break into free space and create chunk gains – was the 34th most targeted RB in college football during the 2025 season
  • RosterWatch 2025 All-Senior Bowl roster
  • Despite looking strong in Senior Bowl pass-protection 1v1s, was brutally ranked 246th out of 279 CFB qualifiers in pass-protection grade – he’ll need to look more like he did in Mobile than he did in college if wants to be on the field for the receiving opportunities we’re baking into his production profile
  • Comp: Clinton Portis
