Texas A&M WR Mike Evans – Dunks Easily on Instagram – 2014 NFL Draft

Texas A&M standout WR Mike Evans put up this instagram video today of himself and Aggies QB Johnny Manziel “warming up” for, presumably, NFL draft testing preparation workouts.
While Johnny Football looks like he might have a hernia on what was likely the fourth or fifth attempt to pull off something instagram-worthy, Mike Evans looks like he could ball in his sleep. Let’s not forget Mike Evans was a very, very sick high school basketball player a la Michael Crabtree. Evans averaged 18.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game as a senior at Galveston Ball playing power forward.
Evans was described in the scouting report posted by the makers of the video below as being a 6’5″ do-everything combo-forward, and his senior season stat line would seem to support that. We love basketball backgrounds in these players because it aids in their understanding of space and zones while also giving real-time training in how to use length and leverage to fight through and win in those contested areas.
