RosterWatch Week 3 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet and Podcast Now Available
Building a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.
Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.
All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.
*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

(1) Is Breece Hall considered droppable for anyone at the top of this week’s WWCS? Or be patient despite the 3 back RBBC on NYJ?
(2) Is Darryl Henderson droppable? Feels like the staff wants Akers to be the lead back, but i guess he can be a low end flex play/handcuff on a good offense
I wouldn’t drop him yet, unless you need the WR help. There’s an argument for Garrett Wilson.
I wouldn’t drop Henderson, unless it’s for Jamaal Williams potentially.
1) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Two qb league. Would you trade j.k dobbins for Jimmy g? My team is as follows:
Qbs – Ryan, mac Jones MariotA
Rba – cook, Gibson, b. Hall, Herbert, pierce, dobbins
No one else is willing to trade any qb at all, was willing to give up any of my studs for one and no action
No, I don’t see Jimmy G as that much of an improvement of any of your current QBs. If Wentz or Goff is available, I would take a stab at one of them
There are no qbs on the wire except Flacco. Not sure if that changes things? What I would do for wentz or Goff lol
What percentage of my FAAB should i put on Tua? I have Kyler Murray , but would drop Toney or Walker III ? Also, going forward should i start Damien Harris over DK Metcalf in my flex?
thanks
I don’t feel like Tua ends up higher, or significantly higher, than Murray when all is said and done. If you really want him, I wouldn’t spend more than 25%. And yes, Harris’ floor seems higher on a weekly basis. I would consider matchups before doing it every week though.
One other Q — would you drop Toney or DK Metcalf for Garrett Wilson? .5PPR
Toney can be dropped. Reports that Giants coaching staff is very comfortable playing “their guys.” Toney ain’t one of them right now
Toney is the bigger question mark, so it would have to be him
Whats up RW Nation! Few questions:
1) 16 tm .5 ppr for RBs. Is gainwell droppable for anyone on the sheet? If so would you have everyone on the sheet higher than him? I have Kamara, Akers, Hall, and TDP (who i will be stashing for now)
2) in 1PPR do we like Conklin over Irv Smith? and in another league I have logan thomas, should I stick with him or roll into conklin, Irv? I feel like im ok at TE for now in those leagues.
3) any buy low WRs in your opinion? I have Keenan and Williams, and am looking to package one of them up with maybe a James Robinson to try and target maybe a Evans or Davante. Would it be too rich for trying to target someone like AJ brown?
apprecaite the hard work as always
1) TDP is on IER, you can safely drop him
2) Irv has upside. Conklin is the “safe” floor guy.
3) You nailed it Mike Evans a buy low with the looming 1 game suspension. As we get closer to Week6/7 Hopkins could be a buy low.
Another person dropped Jamaal Williams I have D’Andre Swift should I pick up Williams and drop I Spiller who is a naked handcuff for me?
You have it 100% right. Spiller has been a healthy scratch. no reason to hold him
10 team PPR 1-1 Play 1 QB 3WR 2RB 1 Flex 1 TE
Me
Russ Wilson
WR: Kupp, Marq Brown, Bateman, DLondon Mooney, Eli Moore, GPickens
RB: DSwift, Fournette, BHall, Montgomery
TE: Pitts
Available on Waiver:
JamWilliams (I have Swift) BRobinson RWhite (I have Fournette) JCook
GWilson (I have EMoore) MGallup JDotson
Drop Mooney , EMoore and/or Pickens for any of the above?
Thanks
Gar. Wilson is a priority pickup this week. Pickens can be dropped . He may have value later this season, but right now that is the play
12 team standard
trade away kittle to get jamar chase? have T hill and howard, conklin, and higbee are on WW
other WR are Cooper, C Samuel, k allen, t burks
If someone will do that trade that is a HARD YES. An injured Kittle for Chase? Yikes!
Looking to sell high on D Montgomery and rid myself of ties to the Bears offense.
12-team, 1PPR redraft. 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 Flex.
Send: Montgomery, AJ Brown
Receive: Davante Adams
My RBs: Dalvin Cook, Swift, Dobbins, Jamaal Williams, Akers
His RBs: Patterson, Melvin Gordon, Dameon Pierce
My WRs: Diontae Johnson, Drake London, Peoples-Jones (dropping this week, trying to get Garrett Wilson)
His WRs: DK, Hollywood, Boyd, Osborn, Van Jefferson
I’m thin at WR regardless. Is Adams that much more of an upgrade over AJ Brown? Devonta Smith had more of a resurgence in WK2.
We do not advise doing that trade. Hold onto D-Mont. Someone will need an RB soon. Maybe the James corner owner. RB injuries strike you will have the solution. At that point you can overchange for an RB. GL
Have to drop 1 for a defense. Full PPR
-Julio
-Melvin Gordon
-Breece Hall
-Olave
-Garrett Wilson
Tough choice but Julio can be dropped of this group
12-team, 0.5 PPR, 0-2 record:
Would you guys trade Ceedee for Jacobs and Hopkins?
QB: Mahomes
RB1: Najee
RB2: Edmonds
WR1: Ceedee
WR2: Terry
TE: Pitts
FLEX: Michael Thomas
Bench: Penny, Meyers, Gallup, Devonta Smith
Check the other thread I broke this down for you. GL
Would you trade away Austin Ekeler & Kyle Pitts for Amon Ra & Najee in PPR?
The Amon Ra and Najee side is the preference, but it is a very even trade
Sitting at 1-1 & lost my QB Lance this week, & will look to waiver for Tua or Wentz this week.
Interested in your take at the RB position & a trade proposal. Thinking sell high buy low but not sure if want to do 2 for 1..
I send: James Robinson & A.J Dillon
I get: Dalvin Cook
1 pt ppr, 1QB/2 RB/3WR/1 Flex
Current team:
QB:
RB: N. Harris, Mixon,Dillon, Edmonds, J. Robinson
WR: A.J Brown, Pittman, cooks, E. Moore, Gage
TE: Pitts
IR: Elijah Mitchell
You did a nice job with your draft. re: QBs Tua has a tough matchup this week vs Buff be careful there. Wentz over Tua this week.
We recommend not trading away the 2 RBs for Dalvin. We love Dalvin and big games coming, but James Robinson and AJ Dillion have big roles for their team, and should an injury occur to the starter they are top 8ish runners.
Would we trade away Damien Harris & Julio for Terry McLaurin?
AT RB I have AJones, Zeke, Dillon, MGordon, Darrell, Gus Edwards in IR
WR I have Davante, Sutton, ARob, Aiyuk
The Patriots seem to have committed to the 2 man backfield. Harris had a nice game, more to come. TMC is going to be in a weekly fight for targets. hold your guys.
Thanks Alan. Having Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon is putting me in tough Sit/Start spots it seems. This week the rankings still say to start both based on my current roster. Obviously a touch matchup in TB. And don’t feel great about starting Zeke as well. Matchup tool likes LAR WR vs. ARI. Start ARob in Flex? Still go Dillon over Zeke?
Hello- love your weekly sheets. Want your opinion,
Are Sky Moore and I. Pacheco worth holding onto? I don’t need them right now and there are players on the waiver wire that might be turning into something but I haven’t made a play for them because l’m afraid to drop someone too quickly that might be a difference maker down the road. What do you think? Maybe even a quality back-up QB like Goff (I start hurtsJ be better to have than those guys?
Thanks
Thank you for the supportive words on the sheet. The boys are grateful.
In a single QB league when you have a stud like Hurts no need to carry a backup. There should always be a fill in option on waivers.
Skyy Moore may be productive this season, but it is going to be too slow developing and you can’t wait for it. OK to drop.
I like holding backup RBs in case of an injury to the primary RB, but if there is a player that you can start now on waivers ok to drop Pacheco too.
Would you trade AJ Dillion for Kyle Pitts? My rbs are Zeke, Cook, Dillion, Carter, Penney but my TE are Tomyan and Albert O
I would probably make that trade, yes. you’re pretty deep at rb
