ALERT: Jordy Nelson Reported Torn ACL

Here’s a gif of the play via the Cauldron:

UPDATE: Per Ian Rapaport it’s a torn ACL.

MAKE SURE TO GET THE LATEST UPDATE OF THE CHEAT SHEET (V 2.3) BEFORE DRAFTING.

We’ve made significant adjustments to certain players as a result of the news and of course, have taken Nelson off the sheet.

  1. Where are we moving Adams? Need to know quickly please….

    1. he’ll be right behind Golden Tate and above Sammy Watkins on 2.3

  2. I’m a + member this year and love the cheat sheet. I love Jeremy hill this year and have seen him starting to go mid first round in nicks. Just curious why he’s ranked well outside the top 10 on the cheat sheet. Thanks guys!

    1. He’s a top ten back and a top fifteen player. We love him. He isn’t ranked higher because the cheat sheet is made to maximize the best player to relative ADP. Hill’s ADP dictates his position to an extent.

      1. You guys also seems high on Shady, he is one example I think I’d rather have hill instead of. The Qb play doesn’t make you nervous about teams stacking the box against him?

        1. Rex Ryan teams run the ball more than anybody, and the bills are odds on favorites to lead the lead in rushing attempts. They also have a slightly better than average O-line. McCoy also doesn’t have Bernard to contend with for touches. If Shady stays healthy, he’s going to go big based on volume if nothing else. He could see 300 touches. If Tyrod Taylor gets the nod, he instantly becomes a run threat and potential decoy. Take Hill if you like though. We wouldn’t begrudge you for it. We love him.

          1. I appreciate the feedback. You guys are awesome, love the site!

  3. Mocks** sorry

  4. Also does Lacy see a little bump because of Jordy’s injury? Or is he still behind Charles?

    1. We don’t see a fundamental change in Lacy’s role. They have pieces in the form of adams, rogers, montgomery, and perhaps janis to fill in the gap.

  5. Hey RW dudes I got a draft in like 2 hours and I’ve been using the latest Standard CS in some 10 team mocks: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex(RB/WR/TE). I keep facing a dilemma where I end up with 5 solid studs at my starting RB, WR and Flex spots after my first 5 picks. For example, in my last mock I had Forte, Gore, ODB, Andre Johnson and L. Murray but then with my 6th pick the sheet usually wants me to take a backup RB or WR (in the last example it would have been Brandon Marshall) so I’m wondering if you would guys would deviate from the cheat-sheet there and maybe take Olsen (the best TE available there) if he’s available instead? It most mocks I can consistently get Rudolph late however since the TEs dry up quick in the 7th/8th round it seems. So what is the best approach to take tonight?

    1. Oops, forgot to clarify the format is 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE) AND also 1 TE! Obviously a Kicker and Defense too…

      1. … and 5 bench spots if that matters. Thanks in advance and hopefully y’all see this in time!

  6. We generally say to go with the cheat sheet, but In a ten team league, the cs is ideal for 12, that’s a reasonable move as they’re fairly close in the rankings as is.

    1. Thanks Trashman! It was fun listening to you guys last night while drafting!

Here’s how my draft went last night! I woke up today and realized it wasn’t a dream…

      Yahoo 10 team Standard: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE), DEF, K (5 bench spots)

      1) AP
      2) ODB
      3) Jeffrey
      4. L. Murray
      5) J. Randle
      6) Olsen
      7) B. Marshall
      8) R. Jennings
      9) G. Bernard
      10) R. White
      11) Stafford
      12) A. Foster
      13) Miami DEF
      14) Matt Bryant

In the 7th, Marshall and TJ Yeldon were tied on the cheat-sheet so I took Marshall over Yeldon since I already had 4 RBs at that point. Then in the 8th and 9th rounds I went back to back RBs (Jennings and Bernard) because the cheat-sheet said so even though I was eyeing WRs in the group of Agholor, Maclin and Roddy just below those RBs on the sheet. I figured I could get one of them still by the 10th round and ended up with Roddy as my WR4. Also I was hoping to get Rivers late as planned but some idiot took Rivers a backup QB to his Drew Brees so I had to settle for Stafford which I think is crazy that he lasted long. How do you guys think I did? Obviously I have a ton of trade bait RBs and hopefully my Foster flier will pay off!

      1. Obviously ignore my typo for 2nd round pick which was Odell Beckham Jr. aka OBJ, not ODB … WTF was I thinking?

      2. That’s quite a draft my friend! I love that you were able to get olsen and roddy in the 10th is a steal. I’m happy to roll with stafford, as i think he’s going to surprise people. I also love foster in the 12th! an AP foster combo could be deadly in the playoffs. Miami’s d is stout as well. All around great job!

  7. Since i lost Jordy my PPR WR’s in a 3WR and Flex League are:
Alshon, Mike Evans, Charles Johnson, Nelson Agholor, Wheaton, Quick and Janis. Should i look to make a trade or just sit and wait?

    1. I might dangle a few trade offers, but don’t settle for a swindle. You have a solid crew. Wheaton and Quick are underrated imo. I feel good starting alshon, evans and and any combo of the 4 left outside of janis.

  8. Question relative to an auction strategy. 12 team $150 salary cap PPR league, must start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1WR, 1TE, 1kicker, 1 DEF and 3 flex. Do you recommend spend big on 1 RB Aka Lacy and then big on really heavy on Wideouts, or do you still go high value on Rbs and middle of pack WRs? Just curious. I was leaning to go big on a top 5 RB and then invest heavily on WR and take cheap flyers on Rb backups and Qbs.

    1. it depends, if you can get bell or ap and then get a forte, forsett or other high volume receiving back as well, i’d do that. you can generally find wrs who are high volume but not necessarily elite playmakers for cheaper later. i’d rather depend on a starting rb who catches passes on a weekly basis more than most wrs outside of the elite guys.

  9. Quick Hitter:
Should R. Wayne signing with Patriots even matter? If so where would I draft him? (obviously later rounds.)

    1. people are saying no, but people thought blount going to the pats wasn’t a big deal either. He is a lot older than blount though. i probably wouldn’t draft him until the 14th rd or until harvin is off the board, whichever come first.

  10. If you could choose in a 12 team redraft league where you’ll be drafting, what position would you preferably draft?

Also, league is .25/ppr, I was thinking use standard cheat sheet for the most part. Thoughts?

    1. The standard is the way to go there. As for positions, I’m finding that drafting at either the 3 or 12 has been yielding the most seemingly stacked teams. you really can’t go wrong with the cheat sheet though.
