Brandon Lloyd = Target Monster
Brandon Lloyd = Target Monster
Byron Lambert, Rosterwatch.com
It looks like things are shaking out in St. Louis just as Brandon Lloyd owners’ hoped. Lloyd’s fantasy stock is now higher than it could have ever been in Denver this year.
So far,on the fly in two games with A.J. Feely at the helm, Brandon Lloyd has been targeted a monstrous 25 times (12,13)! He scored a TD last week and was wide open in the endzone twice for TDs the week before if Feely could have thrown anything close to an accurate pass. (Targets: http://rosterwatch.com/?page_id=845)
The good news is the much more accurate, Sam Bradford, is close to returning which will only increase Lloyd’s production. It is clear the Rams and OC, Josh McDaniels, are very intent on getting their new toy the ball and there is no reason for this to change. You can already see the run game opening up as evidenced by Steven Jackson’s fantasy monster last week. This, in turn, should open up the passing game.
St. Louis absolutely turned out to be the best case scenario for Brandon Lloyd owners. He is now a low end #1 or high end #2 fantasy WR. Lloyd is a must start for most owners the rest of the way and I believe he will perform comparably with the likes of: Larry Fitzgerald, Dwayne Bowe, DeSean Jackson, Marques Colston, Steve Johnson, Anquan Boldin, and Hakeem Nicks.
Be excited to own him because he is about to provide a big boost to your team. Do not trade him because you will not get comparable value. If there is a Lloyd owner in your league who is only lukewarm on him, make a move for him.
