Fantasy Football News: Heyward-Bey on the rise?

He sure knows how to make an exit. Darrius Heyward-Bey finished in the top ten in wide-receivers last season over the last quarter of games, and Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times believes he will top 1,000 yards for the first time in his career. The Raiders might agree with him. Oakland did not bother to bolster the position in free-agency, so unless they address it in the upcoming draft, they seem content to rely on DHB, rising star Denarius Moore, and perhaps Jacoby Ford. It is yet to be seen whether Oakland can support two 1,000 yd receivers, and with OC Gregg Knapp’s run first approach, I’m not sure I’d take much stock in Heyward-bey outside of PPR leagues right now. Though, I’d love for him to prove me wrong.
