   Hello RosterWatch!

   I’m having a hard time deciding what the right value is fair, but smart, to acquire Malik Nabers in my Dynasty League. No doubt Nabers is a stud, in terms of pure talent. But I have concerns with him coming off of the injury, in addition to the type of system he will now be in under Harbaugh. How many stud WR’s, not a TE, have had monster seasons in Baltimore over the years? Am I paying a premium for his rookie season, or for his future? The Nabers owner put him on the block, so I offered 2-2027 2nds and a 2028 1st. He did not accept, and wants 2-2027 1sts, especially mine…likely to be the 1.01. Should I counter? Are 2-2027 1sts worth it for Nabers? Do I wait until mid-season to make another offer as the draft picks increase in value?
   What would you be willing to give up? I don’t know if I can part with the 2027 1.01.
   My team is very weak, and will likely finish in last place, but also have a lot of draft capital…so was thinking of acquiring Nabers to stash on my taxi squad for a year.

   Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated. I’m trying to be as smart, patient and calculated as possible for this rebuild.

   DO NOT give up the 2027 1.01 by any means. Tell him to buzz of with multiple 2027 firsts. You are sitting on a gold mine in one of the strongest classes we can remember. You could come out of your draft NEXT YEAR going from a tanking team to an ascending contender: I would not pencil yourself in for a 2028 1.01 if you keep all those picks.

   think about it; you could reasonably project something like this:

   2027 1st – likely 1.01 – wr Jeremiah Smith
   2027 1st (likely mid to late) – rb Kewan Lacy
   2027 1st (likely mid to late) – rb Jadan Baugh
   2027 1st. (likely mid to late) – wr Cam Coleman or Ryan Coleman-Williams
   2027 1st (likely mid to late) – rb ahmad hardy
   2027 2nd – likely 2.01 – rb LJ Martin
   2027 2nd – the list literally goes on and on, you can probably choose a sick QB around here and I am probably forgetting some sick players off the top of the head. Guys like Nick Harbor, Charlie Becker, there are just so many.

   Treat these picks like GOLD. This is the exact year to rebuild your team, not try to consolidate your assets on one star. You can draft multiple stars. Keep your picks like they are your sons and daughters in this sort of deep format. You have made the move to totally rebuild, and luckily have done so in the best year in recent memory to do it.
