Cody Carpentier’s 2025 NFL Mock Draft 1.0

The College Football regular season is HERE, with the NFL just a week away. I am here to bring you the first iteration of my 2025 NFL Mock Draft Series. This year will be different from prior years, the Mock Draft Series will add one round per month with 4 mocks per month, Mock 1.1 is next week, 1.2 the following each with 1 round. All the way through Mock 7.0 and 7.1 coming in March with 7 full-rounds, before the 2025 NFL Draft, Live from Green Bay. Picks will change, Some players may return to school, and Teams will trade between now and April.

The NFL has become a year-round league, from the season, free agency, the draft, and offseason OTA’s to fall camp, the league never sleeps, and neither do we at RosterWatch. Alex and I finished in the middle of the pack in 2024 for the Huddle Report competition, while our guy Mike Band took home 2nd place. So it’s back to the drawing boards and time to begin research on the 2025 class not only to improve our mock draft skills but also to enhance our Dynasty Fantasy Football overview.

      Great work! Congratulations

Great balance with hyper upside at QB, which we love! Did you end up with a TE?

No TE slot. 2 flex instead.

Trade thoughts. I offered Malik Nabers and zamyr White for jamaar chase. The owner is paranoid about chase and also has Zeke Elliot as his RB1

    1. I think that offer is fine, I don’t really love it for either side which means it’s probably fair, but how your friend ended up with Zeke as his RB1 I have no idea lmaoooo

        Should I pull the trigger?

Should I go with the trade?

  4. When a new page of comments start do you still go back a page and respond to unanswered questions. Thanks

    1. We try to go back if we can

  5. yoooo for my 12team PPR: 2RB, 2WR, 2Flex, 1TE … keep getting a lot of Cousins/Stafford/Mayfield at QB and then Ertz at TE on my mocks on Sleeper as a result of using the magic cheatsheet (4th pick overall)

also unless I get Lamb at 4 I usually get Hall and then my teams are loaded at RB but kinda light at WR with usually Rashee Rice, maybe Sutton or JSN, Cooks, Mooney?

of course hoping the real draft ends up getting me a real monster but just wondering what your guys thoughts on Ertz? he just a good streamer to start the season or is there special intel y’all got on him vs Sinnott?

    1. I’ve noticed Sleeper has been skewing a slight bit RB heavy using the PPR sheet, but Rice as your WR1 sounds like something I don’t ever see in testing. I like the PPR build where you come out of the first three rounds with two stud RBs and sometimes even three, but then the next four rounds are usually WR like Waddle/Kupp, Nabers/Devonta, Rashee, Tank, etc. If you feel like it is skewing too RB heavy, feel free to slightly deviate to get the specific guys I mentioned above through those rounds if you come out of the first two rounds with at least two stud RBs, then pivot back to RB with Javonte. Ertz will be a streaming type, but yes we were at camp, he looks to be heavily involved from a volume PPR standpoint.

  6. Hello RW, another year another year of the winning formula from you guys.
Just had my draft and took CMC overall. My question is Jordan Mason just came available would you drop any of my current players to pick him up… Here is my team. What do you guys think and would you drop anyone for Mason.
Anthony Richardson, Achane, Walker, Harrison Jr, M Evans, Scary Terry, JSN, X Worthy, B Thomas Jr, Corum, McLuaghlin.
    Thanks RW

    1. I want to see McLaughlin’s role in week 1 before I drop him for a pure handcuff. It’s risky but I wouldnt do it. If you are more risk averse, it is fine to drop him for Mason tho. If it makes you more comfortable then go for it.

  7. I was leaning with you, I didn’t feel comfortable about it. So far, I’ve dropped my kicker to see what may happen prior to week one. I’m also really keen on McLaughlin, so I’m highly skeptical of dropping him..

WR: Olave, Diggs, Pickens, Hollywood Brown, Tyler Lockett
    TE: Evan Engram, Zach Ertz

    Thoughts?

  9. Does RW produce any in season sheets or waiver wire, start /sit and streaming D’s. Thanks
I recall seeing waiver wire sheets in prior years.

  10. Just drafted in a 12 team standard league! Yahoo grade of D+, so I should be good! I went straight from. Cheat sheet which left me in trouble at TE and flyers in lastv2 rounds on D, any advice? Jalen Hurts, Bijan, Josh Jacobs, Olave, Pittman Jr, Musgrave, D Swift, Moody, Seattle. Bench Javonte Williams, X Worthy, K Allen, Blake Corum, Rico Dowdle, Trevor Lawrence.

Any advice appreciated. Only notable I see on waivers are Ty Chandler, Mike Williams, Isaiah Likely and the Bears or Saints D.
