Cut Bait or Just Wait: Players You Should or Should Not Drop
Cut Bait or Just Wait

Let’s trim the fat shall we?
Greg Little WR, Browns: I honestly don’t know why Little is still owned in so many leagues. Every other receiver the Browns throw on the field out produces him. Drop him for rookie Josh Gordon not now but right now
Andre Roberts WR, Cardinals: It appears Roberts has fallen back to earth since week 4, most recently with his pedestrian 18 yard effort against the Bills. It also doesn’t bode well for Roberts that Kevin Kolb may miss time with a rib injury, as John Skelton doesn’t look for him nearly as often. I’d give it a game to see if Skelton continues the trend.
Dennis Pitta TE, Ravens: Another red hot season starter who has faded as of recent, Pitta can’t be depended on as a weekly tight end we’ve found out. I wouldn’t drop him just yet though. No one on the Ravens had more than six targets this past week, and he had five.
Scott Chandler TE, Bills: If Chandler doesn’t score he’s pretty useless, as shown by his four yard effort against Arizona. Fortunately he goes up against the Titans this week, who are terrible against tight ends. Run him out there for at least another week.
Jacquizz Rodgers RB, Falcons: Sure he’s on the field a lot, but that doesn’t seem to bolster Rodgers’ production much. He’s averaging a paltry 2.48 yards per carry on 7.6 touches a game. We keep waiting on the other foot to drop on Michael Turner, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon. So, until Rodgers makes himself indispensable, he’s purely bench fodder. And personally, I’d rather have David Wilson on my bench.
Titus Young Sr. WR, Lions: Young’s knee, and not his opportunities, might be the cause of his troubles this season, but they are troubles nonetheless. With Nate Burleson firmly entrenched as the number two in Detroit, Young is no better than the fourth option in the passing game. He as all the talent in the world, but we may not see it this season. There are other receivers higher on the pecking order in the respective depth charts available right now. Mario Manningham immediately comes to mind.
James Starks RB, Green Bay: Woe to those who gambled on Starks instead of Alex Green to take Cedric Benson’s spot as starter in Green Bay. You can hang onto him and hope Green regresses, but I’m not relying on Starks even if he gets more time.
Alex Smith QB, San Francisco: Uh oh, is that a quarterback controversy in San Fran a-brewing? I want no part of it.
