Day 2 NFL Combine: 10 Thoughts
10 Thoughts

1. Marcus Lattimore is going to come on the cheap for some lucky team because of the HUGE scar on the front of his knee cap. The scar tissue is raised, very dark, and looks fresh as can be.
2. Jason Garrett said Sean Lee will get the first crack at Middle Linebacker under Kiffin. They think Bruce Carter can also play the position.
3. Tavon Austin said safety Kenny Vaccaro was one of the only DBs to play man press coverage against him, when almost no corner back would.
4. The Panthers are sticking to their guns. Coach and GM said they love Brandon LaFell as their #2 reciever.
5. The podium is important. Geno Smith and E.J. Manuel confirmed our suspicion, at their respective press conferences, that both are currently being greatly undersold by draftniks.
6. As we always say, the Raiders love for speed did not die with the legendary Al Davis. Dennis Allen loves Marquise Goodwin.
7. Chance Warmack is Eddie Lacy’s favorite lineman. Said he was a super cool dude of the field but flips the switch to beast mode when he enters it. Warmack was equally complimentary of Lacy, saying Lacy was his favorite back that he’s played with at ‘Bama. He mentioned that Richardson was more naturally gifted athletically, but that Lacy was a harder worker.
8. Bills coach and former Syracuse coach, Doug Marrone, would not comment on Ryan Nassib. He said it was competitive advantage he had over his NFL peers that he was not willing to share with anyone. Sounds like Nassib could be residing in Buffalo next year to us.
9. Every GM said the same thing. Across the board, teams are adamant they will not be drafting for need. They will be drafting the best available player. The mantra was clear.
10. Rams GM Les Snead explained the waiver claim on Titus Young Sr. was strictly a maneuver to bring him in for an extended interview process. After a nine day interview, they decided he was not the right fit.
